@Jmfia23 He died days after having been confronted by the cops. He reportedly kept running away into several confrontations with the cops. He was accused of reckless driving and didn’t cooperate. That they got fired doesn’t mean anything when you look at all the cops who’ve been fired for simply doing their job. If a black suspect is involved and it ends badly, the cop will be blamed. Some even get jailed because the mob demands blood.

They don’t want to release the tape as it might change witness testimony, so from the police’s mouth they don’t care if witnesses are going to give incorrect evidence (read the literature on the reliability of eye witnesses), they’re, in fact, actively making sure they do. Someone might have believed they saw one thing that the video evidence could tell them was not what it looked like from their angle. For example, seeing Tyre’s struggling limbs through a crowd of officers might look like he’s resisting, but the camera evidence will show he’s trying to cover his head from a beating

Once upon a time Tyre was born. He was a beautiful, loved child. But, Tyre grew up & a sick, twisted part of American society decided he wasn’t worth the life he’d been given & they took it away. This is disgusting and heartbreaking!!! Memphis PD promised the body-cam footage in 1 week or 2 at MOST. Now we are almost 3 weeks after Tyre Nichols’ murder and there is ZERO transparency. My heart is broken for Tyre and his family. We will NOT let Tyre Nichols be forgotten. Tyre was only 29 years old and did not deserve to be murdered by 5 sociopathic cops!! Justice for Tyre Nichols and these monsters must be charged and murdered!!! These cops were in plainclothes and wearing hoodies in an unmarked police car, this is OUTRAGEOUS!!!
