  1. Correction officers are warned constantly about relationships with inmates, male or female. Inmates have nothing to do but plot and plan how to use guards, from slight favoritism or providing contraband, to escape. I feel personally sorry for her, she’s almost certainly dead.

    1. @Danny Chu I agree. I absolutely understand the dynamics involved, you are correct in all the essentials and I understand why you feel as you do and for the main I agree with it. When I say I understand the dynamics it’s because I have seen it in action, not to this extent, though. If she’s captured alive she needs to face the penalties for her actions, they will plead her lengthy, sterling career; a woman foolishly in love and betrayed. None of that matters. The first thing I said when I saw the news was “she’s dead”, if she is it’s through her own hand. Yet I feel sorry for her, but it wouldn’t change my verdict if I were on her jury.

    2. Really u think he will kill her I hope not she was very gullible but most men are good at conning wo.en. tell them a nothing the man thinks the woman wants to hear. That’s what I’ve taught all my daughter’s and granddaughters.

    3. @Paul Koester Yes, unfortunately, I do. But on the flip side he needs her as a gopher. He stands out, at 6’9” or whatever and with his instantly recognizable face, it’s amazing neither of them have been seen, so far as I know. I hope she’s alright, though the odds are against it, I hope they’re both taken into custody without loss of life and they both pay for the crimes they’ve committed. But as we know, hope is the bug, reality is the windshield.

    4. @Paul Koester You should read a book called The Gift of Fear by Gavin de Becker who’s a civilian security specialist. Please don’t let the title put you off, it’s not meant to frighten women and make them afraid to be in public spaces, but it emphasizes situational awareness, preparedness, attitude and so on. Really about being alert, not paranoid or constantly poised for attack, but aware of what’s happening around you. Sorry, not a promo, read a review and see, I’ve given numerous copies to friends, women mostly, but men as well. Sorry to ramble, best wishes to you and your grandkids, sounds like they have a great granpa.

  2. Smh .. out of all the men in the world it’s like why would she jeopardize her life like that?

  3. She was lonely and very naive!
    Sudden retirement, sold her home…..
He’s been controlling her for quite a while! 💯

    1. She’s also not very attractive, which makes me pretty sure she was killed once he was free. Oh well, I guess she learned something in her last moment. Too bad she didn’t learn sooner.

    2. @Paul Koester
Lol, many men say the same thing about women… not worth the time or aggravation.

  4. Sadly she has fallen into the manipulation that offenders DO, its how they survive and now he is out he does not need her, I fear she may be in grave danger. The department dropped the ball hugely, any officer visiting an inmate in a jail is inappropriate, I don’t know if this facility had Security Intelligence unit but this “relationship” should have been detected.

  5. The video of the officer and the inmate exiting the jail raises questions. She walks out first with the inmate a few steps behind her. That suggests a level of trust. No cop would ever allow a inmate to walk behind him/her.

    1. @Old Guys Rock!!! Exactly, I mean isn’t there a process. Lets say he was do in court for an evaluation wouldn’t the prison be notified? So she just went there without any proof and said she had to take him to court for an evaluation and nobody confirmed? I absolutely agree on the body language spoke volumes. 💯

    2. @Ro Ro Right. These people think they’re Sherlock Holmes by pointing out she felt comfortable around him…. No sht 😂

    1. And IF you’re doing it right, afterwards on your sheets, there’ll be a big wet stain🤣😂🤭

  6. Sadly, it’s going to lead to a tragic ending for her. Naive and gullibility was her shortcomings.

    1. She couldn’t keep a boyfriend he buttered her up. People would rather die than be alone.

  7. they have no idea where they are. And if you think of how things are set up right now they might get away with this for awhile. You can get anything you want delivered to you without even showing your face. You can make money without leaving your home. It may take some time to find them now.

  8. “The world is in more peril from those who tolerate evil or encourage evil than from those who actually commit it.” -Dr. Albert Einstein

  9. I don’t feel sorry for her .. She knew he was serving 75 years for serious violent crimes. Yet, confidently/calmly lets the 6’9 psychopath, charged with murdering a defenceless elderly woman and kidnapping out of jail. Endangering the lives of more women and the public. She is SELFISH and has shown blatant disregard for his victims as well as their families…

    1. @Jean Jackson You’re so right , it could be a young person ..The guys is ruthless! In 2015 he broke into his ex-girlfriend’s home , shot her dog , fired bullets into the wall forcing 2 men onto the floor , whilst 2 young children hid in the basement and fortunately his ex managed to escape . After that he went on a crime spree , a home invasion, 2 carjackings at gunpoint , shot one victim in the arm. Went on a 100mph police chase and was only caught when his car ended up in a ditch . He vowed to find and kill his ex if he ever got out of prison.
Because she was the boss , the booking officer NEVER questioned her when she told him/her/they to prepare him for court. And that she was the only duty firearm certified to take him to court . She purposefully/willing betrayed the trust of her colleagues. Hopefully, her action will amp up security/regulations between offenders and officers ..

    2. @Jack Reacher Nonsense!!!! Her conduct should have been consistent with her training. She had every opportunity here in Florence for dating those that are not killers and facing life in prison outside of her work duties. Her choices will now likely bring at least 10 years in prison. Is it worth it???? No.

  10. She must of been really desperate to have a sexual relationship to of done this much damage to her personal life. DESPERATE…

  11. How the hell have people not been fired over this?
The level of hubris it must take for these podunk cops to say, “Our bad,” is just embarassing.

    1. That’s what I want to know also .clearly they are all out of touch with reality. None had a clue or suspected anything. No one in charge, just all walking around daydreaming 🤷🤷🏽‍♀️🤷‍♂️❗️

    2. If your superior calls you and tells you to do something, you’re going to do it and not question it. That’s what she did. That, and signed her own death warrant.

  12. Whether she was manipulated somehow or just completely lost her mind… I’m very worried for her based on what his ex-girlfriend (that he tried to kill) has told in interviews. She is very worried the inmate will kill this guard and/or others and begged her to try to get away from him. I fear she will never be found or will be found buried in a shallow grave somewhere once he has no need of her. No matter how/if she fell under his control she doesn’t deserve that fate.

    1. This woman was a co -director , NOT a novice and knew how depraved he was.. I don’t think he would be doing 75 years for j walking. He killed a defenceless elderly woman. They had been having the affair for 2 years .She calmly waddles with her back towards him , which shows she wasn’t worried at all ..

    2. @Joy Simpson Even veteran officers can fall prey to the manipulation of a psychopath. Look I’m not saying she’s an innocent in all this… but clearly something unusual happened… and whether she feels threatened or not… she IS in danger. Knowing everyone is looking for a couple like them… he may have done away with her already.

  13. Its almost impossible to keep secrets inside a prison. Other prisoners must know something!

  14. She’s on the lam with this prisoner. Love is blind. She did a pretty stupid thing. The false claim of an outside appt doesn’t jive, with the fugitive “taking her” by force. She was definitely involved in his escape.

  15. She had low self esteem and that dude played her like a fiddle, sadly, this happens a lot in the correction world.

  16. It’s hilarious that it’s still referred to as ‘Department of Corrections’ when they are actually and demonstrably making things much, much worse.
