  1. well yeah, globally English is used almost everywhere, we have a lot of migrants from other countries coming and parents tend to teach their mother tongue to their children . Not to mention the internets in NA are mostly in English as well

  2. French isnt needed for business and 1 province actively uses it regularly outside of crown corporations who have to by law at least offer it.

    1. @Steve the cross huh? If ur referring to quebec or new brunswick yes they exist but stating something doesn’t make it a fact.

And new brunswick may be bilingual in statement but in practice it not quebec certainly isn’t.

  3. I was forced into an all French elementary school for 8 years what a waste of time that was.. It’s the most useless language to learn I hope parents won’t continue to do that to their children. As a child trying to learn everything from scratch it was a bit confusing to say the least..

  4. 6 billion per year to be bilingual 6 billion a year to convert to metric. decade after decade of taxpayer funded uselessness

  5. Needed to learn French for my job with Ontario Court. 32 years later, still haven’t had an occasion to use it. Cantonese, Mandarin or Hindi would have been useful

    1. @John Cam no. There is francophones outside of Québec. Stop being Mad because you can’t understand french

  6. Bilingualism never should have been imposed on Canadians. There should be a free vote on this.If quebec wants to speak french thats their business everyone else should be able to opt out.The 3.5 billion wasted on french is better spent on healthcare.

  7. French is not mandatory in schools after a certain grade in highschool. Why would kids stick to it unless they like the language?
