  1. Mass produce buckets and mops. l think you’ll find Canadian volunteers would be than proud to go and clean up these homes. Politicians are doing nothing period.

  2. Tell PM to stop his little speeches from his home and do something practical. His every action is delayed. I apologize the nation for voting him.

    1. andrew scheer would’ve done just as bad, there is no way around this especially with canada’s trash political system

    2. @Rick-e Well, he would’ve stopped flights from China early on instead of saying how racist that would have been and instituted mandatory quarantines much earlier since he advocated for doing both of those things weeks before the government did anything at all.

    3. TOQUIR BUTTER IS A FOOD CHANNEL – OF PRC (CHINESE) ORIGIN IT SEEMS
AHMED TOQUIR IS A MASTER CHEF – THIS CHANNEL HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH CHEF AHMED

WHO ARE YOU – YOU CANNOT SPEAK ENGLISH ON YOUR CHANNEL, AND NOW SUDDENLY YOU HAVE BECOME AN ELOQUENT, GRAMMATICALLY CORRECT ENGLISH SPEAKER.

YOU ARE EITHER A PRC TROLL OR A UNITED STATES TROLL –

YOU ARE NOT CHINESE CANADIAN – THAT IS FOR SURE – ARE YOU EVEN CHINESE?

TOUQIR BUTTER YOU ARE A LIAR – AND SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED BY THE AUTHORITIES.

    4. @Trevor Pickersgill lol it’s easy to say he would’ve done things way faster when he’s at home and unelected. Trudeau had to leverage the economy, global relations and this Pandemic. Personally I’m satisfied with how the federal and provincial government is handling this. If anything I’d say Andrew would’ve felt more pressure by Trump to open the border.

  3. Chronic understaffing and increasing workloads and utter disrespect for ltc workers for years and years this is a compounded problem.

  4. I’m scared for my mom in Cedarvale..praying for her safety as well as all the residents and healthworkers…I will see her again after this worst thing ends..

    1. Nutellaluis take your mother back home. Take care of her. She is your mom. No one else’s.

  5. Why not allow willing family members to enter and take care of their own ,especially the Doctor who has both parents in harms way

    1. The thinking is that it is the visiting relatives that brought the disease into the homes. That particular home is in so much trouble because so many relatives brought the disease in directly from China.
We could find plenty of healthy volunteers who would take on a lot of the load but that is not the government way, apparently.

  6. I think this problem with nursing homes is just what we’re able to see now because Covid 19 has brought it to the forefront and is shining a much-needed light on some of these senior care facilities. Not all but a lot of these homes have been getting away with shoddy practices for years as I saw first-hand whenever my mother went to one. Her roommate got up in the middle of the night and fell in her room where she lay till daybreak until someone finally checked on her hours later. She passed away a day later and then my mother took a small stroke at Christmas and the ambulance wasn’t called till later on which was too little too late for her as well. I thought staff were supposed to make timely rounds to make sure their residents were ok throughout the day and night. The government needs to pay staff a decent wage and show some compassion for the elderly who paid their dues to society and deserve at least a clean virus free environment to live out their final years.I hope I don’t end up in one of them after all I’ve seen so far on the news.

  7. These nursing homes have had TERRIBLE treatment of the elderly even in the best of times. The absolute stupidity of closing the entire economy and losing 50-100 billion dollars when 600+ out of 800 deaths are in Nursing homes- in Ontario. Keep the economy open, save the 50 billion and spend 100+ million directly on nursing homes and get teams of nurses and doctors there. That way we actually drive the death rate down, SAVE THE ELDERLY, keep our freedoms, and don’t ruin the lives of 15 million citizens and economic future of our children. Why is no one holding Doug’s feet to the fire on this? He can only hide behind the “experts” for so long. Let’s see some actual innovative leadership.

  8. That’s what I’ve been saying for past year all senior residences , homes etc. need an overhaul with need new strict guidelines

  9. If i had elderly parents in one of those places I sure as hell would’ve pulled them out of there when all of this started. They’re your parents, the ones who gave you life and raised you. The least you can do is be there for them and take care of them when they need it.
