  1. Because he reach out to Yohan Blake and he got the best training and within two years because of his dedication he was able able to produce this good results because he’s training with the best and that made him ready to compete with the best on the world stage something that the Jamaican sport minister should be looking into

    1. SHOUT OUT TO MASIKA Greatness a run inna wi blood….We have ask in our national anthem (Eternal Father Bless our Land) and our prayers have been answered and revealed to the world through our youths….Shout out to Mavado every ghetto youth is a star…### Wha more di youth’s dem need fi duh fi wi invented inna dem future……Thank you all you have made us hold our heads up overseas inspite of the voilence……Jamaica to the World..Shout out Elephant Man.

    2. Nope.the main thing he’s was not over worked or over train at an early age. School never had no gym for him to be pumping weights too early. He’s now pumping weights at the right age. You can only stretch a rubber band so far. Same thing with the muscle.stretch it too early leave no room for improvement when you become an adult..that’s why the girls they transition better.they don’t pump a lot of weights like the boys at an early age.

  2. We see it so often, Maverick. We do not need to name names, but so many champs stars burn right out and fail to live up to what we hoped they would eventually achieve on the world stage.

  3. Maverick bwoy l thought l would be talking about man like Micheal O’Hara, Dejour Russell and many others at this point in time. Out of nowhere Ackeem Blake appeared !! Just like you l had no idea who this man was, but this show that with hard work and dedication your achievements can be attained. Keep up the good work youngster…… Blessings ยน

    1. fi real my youth me and my son we were having the same discussion the other day about those same athlete how they show great potential at champs but after we see are heard nothing about them ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”

  4. The evidence is so abundantly clear that most of our athletes who go on to success beyond champs either never attended the schools which traditionally dominate champs or only went there for one year. The question is why .

  5. To win champs, the athletes end up with poor grades and a burnt-out physique. They need rehabilitation after high school or college before they can go pro.

  6. Yuh lick di nail pon di head Mr. Maverick. Too early, too much pressure on di young backs and legs.๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿƒ๐Ÿšท๐Ÿ‹โ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿ‹โ€โ™‚๏ธโŒ๏ธ

  7. Champs is for bragging rights and money. Also, he comes from a rural school, like most of our biggest track stars.

  8. Maverick love your commentary and you are so right.Well done Ackeem shinning at the right time. I like you to shed some light on why no one is talking about Jovaun Gillespie and no one happy about his 10.61.

  9. Why can’t Usain Bolt io invest in a track club? It would do better than his music and it’s the ultimate give back to his sport…
