What about our national stockpile that was nearly completely empty? It was blamed on Obama despite Trump being president for 3.5 years (nearly an entire presidential term). Of which he could have refilled the stock pile during that time, instead of pointing fingers at people who had no responsibility in that matter.

My state of ny carried out wonderful antibody tests estimating 3 million were infected statewide going back to December at least. By the time anyone could react it was already widespread, especially in ny. Same thing happened in Europe. Now we know the true mortality rate is less than .5%, avg age of death is over 70, 90% have comorbidities. That’s not downplaying it’s called weighing risk against reward. Complete destruction of basic human rights and irreversible economic damage are not acceptable for this crisis. Wear a mask, isolate those at high risk. Everyone else can get on with their lives

We knew about the virus since January if not earlier, measures were not taken until March. That’s 2 whole months of doing nothing. If everything was shut down at the beginning we would had been able to do contact tracing, which would have substantially lowered the amount of deaths and this virus may have been containable. If anything you have disregarded many of my points in my previous comment.
Spastic Quadriplegic 2 weeks of entire quarantined is not “complete destruction” of human rights. If we did that earlier this virus would have killed less people and our infection rate would be dramatically lower. Which would also allow us to begin contact tracing.
@john You want government to take extreme action months before the WHO declares a pandemic. The WHO receives billions of dollars yearly and is the foremost authority on infectious disease. How can you expect government to act if they are not informed of the severity by the “top medical professionals” in the world. Is Europe trump’s fault too?
