  1. Reminds me of the famous Sunrise propane explosion in Toronto a decade ago. He cause was determined to be technicians performing an illegal and dangerous ‘tank to tank’ transfer of propane. The operators body was never found

    1. I remember that day,
Seen the smoke from a pretty far distance away.
At the time I never seen the place until maybe a couple years after and I could see how much worse it could have been if it caught to the larger holding tanks.

  2. and always remember to keep your summer propane tank stored outside and never bring them into your garage for winter storage …

    1. Yeah, a full tank in the cold will start to vent when the gas warms and expands. If you refill a tank in the cold, leave room for the gas to expand.

  3. Looks like Quebec is going to see another propane shortage. Better call Saudi Arabia and the United States…they may need to send more oil for diesel powered equipment and gas heaters. The upside is that it’s very hard to protest and stop a seafaring tanker from sending oil to eastern Canada. Which ocean or sea would you try to stop them in, on their 5000 plus nautical mile journey from Saudi Arabia?

    1. The tankers from Saudi-Arabia will never stop, the Quebec Teachers Pension Fund ( largest in Canada) is heavily invested in Saudi-Aramco

  4. So today, a chemical factory in St Louis, a plant in Saint Catherines and now one in Quebec? Anymore factories etc explode today that I don’t know about?

  5. Time to relocate those huge tanks far out of town just like they do in Mexico…likely due to similar accidents.
