I remember decades ago in high school I took a self-defense one day course. And they said be willing to die before you are tied up. Reason being is that your odds are better at getting shot and surviving then you are at getting tied up and then you’re a totally helpless victim. Furthermore an assailant typically doesn’t want to take an injured person along with them as you slow them down and leave blood traces. I’ve never forgotten that.
And if you are ever put into the trunk of a vehicle many trunks nowadays have security glow-in-the-dark latches you pull on them and it will open up the trunk from the inside every single person should know how their vehicle operates with that.

This is why you fight like hell and NEVER let them take you to second location. It’s scary, when someone has a gun, but fight where you are at least it’s a better chance to get away. This is so sad!!!!

@Jammzy this same advice was literally in the training manual for my pizza delivery job back in 1996. Someone trying to take you to a second location alive is just looking to save themselves having to carry you, or they want privacy to do horrible things to you. You’re better off that the crime scene is right there on the spot.
Please, NEVER EVER EVER allow yourself to be tied up and taken somewhere by an attacker. You must fight back. Do whatever it takes even if your chance of surviving is slim, as once you are loaded up into the attacker’s vehicle, you are essentially dead, if not worse. Very sad to see this outcome. I saw comments on another video regarding this case speaking to how the mother must have known him because she was “too calm” and had some familiarity to the man when he walked them out the door and I simply think that’s ridiculous. When you’re a mother, holding a baby, you will do absolutely anything to remain calm and not strike fear into your child. This is so tragic. I’m so sad for this entire family and relatives.
