They were civilians when they got hit by the avalanche. Their job had nothing to do with it. Stop trying to gain unwarranted sympathy for them by identifying them as cops.

Everyone trained in backcountry skiing knows the risk is substantial when going out in conditions like they were. When I was snowboarding in Nelson there was a fresh layer of hoar frost on everything. These unsafe conditions aren’t going anywhere
So sketchy to be out ripping on this stuff right now, the conditions are just terrible.

The officers felt that the snow should’ve respected them and went around them…
