Biden CDC Goes Back To Square One On Covid Policy: Gathering Accurate Data | Rachel Maddow | MSNBC

Rachel Maddow points out that because the outgoing administration did such a poor job organizing a response to the coronavirus, their statistics like case count and death totals are inconsistent and unreliable. So, since data is the foundation of measuring a policy's success, the Biden administration began with, among others, an executive order on data collection. Aired on 01/22/2021.

    1. @Gabe Dudley have you done the bleach injections and floodlighting your insides yet?

It really works! Made the trumpflu go away back in april and may and june and july also in august it disappeared and everyine definitely stopped talking about it after nov bc donald said so 🤣😭

    2. Trump didn’t understand the purpose of testing. it’s the surveillance mechanism on where the virus is proliferating so one can contain it.

  1. Democrat Presidents should charged more for cleaning up the Mess left by Republican Presidents. It’s seems to be a Pattern since WW1.

    1. “I really believe the Republicans are just too crazy right. I mean, what’s going on [in that party] is just nuts.”
― The Donald @ interview with NBC News’ “Meet the Press”, October 1999

“In many cases, I probably identify more as Democrat. I’ve been around a long time. And it just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans. Now, it shouldn’t be that way. But if you go back, I mean it just seems that the economy does better under the Democrats. …we’ve had some pretty bad disaster[s] under the Republicans.”
― The Donald @ interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, March 2004

    1. “I think if this country gets any kinder or gentler, it’s literally going to cease to exist.”
      ― The Donald @ Playboy, March 1990

    2. Make that “oceans of”, and you’ll be closer to the truth. Between the pandemic and all the rest… yeah. Red is definitely their color.

    1. The following is a breakdown of the federal deficit by presidents in the last 50 years
      USA Today
      December 31, 2020

      Richard Nixon 1969 – 1974
      Baseline: $3.2 Billion SURPLUS
      Exited Office: $6.1 Billion Deficit

      Gerald Ford 1974 – 1977
      Baseline: $6.1 Billion Deficit
      Exited Office: $53.7 Billion Deficit

      Jimmy Carter 1977 – 1981
      Baseline: $53.7 Billion Deficit
      Exited Office: $78.9 Billion Deficit

      Ronald Reagan 1981 – 1989
      Baseline: $78.9 Billion Deficit
      Exited Office: $252.6 Billion Deficit

      George H. W. Bush 1989 – 1993
      Baseline: $152.6 Billion Deficit
      Exited Office: $255 Billion Deficit

      Bill Clinton 1993 – 2001
      Baseline: $255 Billion Deficit
      Exited Office: $128.2 Billion SURPLUS

      George W. Bush 2001 – 2009
      Baseline: $128.2 Billion SURPLUS
      Exited Office: $1.4 Trillion Deficit

      Barrack Obama 2009 – 2017
      Baseline: $1.4 Trillion Deficit
      Exited Office: $665.4 Billion Deficit

      Donald Trump 2017 – 2021
      Baseline: $665.4 Billion Deficit
      Exited Office: $966 Billion Deficit

Clinton and Obama were the only presidents to lower the deficit in the last 50 years.

Erlene King told USA TODAY she believes it is “100% true.”
“A Democrat is mostly elected after a Republican screw things up. Then Republican Senators become fiscally responsible, forcing the Democrat to just fix the problem and never vote for social programs,” she wrote. “Thus the lower deficit.”

    1. @Manuel the man is on day 2. Don’t be incompetant of the issue that clearly is from the previous administration.

    2. @James Lovelace Yo, I don’t think this Manuel guy was making his argument in good faith, so trying to correct him as if he doesn’t know something wont help. He does know, he’s just wants to sew division and spread misinformation because he’s been brainwashed into thinking that our new president is his enemy.

  2. Biden should hire that lady from Florida who was sacked by DeSantis for not “Faking” the figures.
She started her own private data collection and reporting website to counter the states misleading and false reporting.

    1. @Wildflower Yeah, as a nation, we dropped the ball on every aspect of this crisis. It’s eye opening and frightening to see just how tenuous civilized society and democracy truly are.

    2. @SD4philly Yes, now they are available, even in somewhat remote areas. Back then, we had few tests available. I called the health department every week, and even the workers there were beyond frustrated about it. I was not surprised to learn yesterday that when Biden’s team looked for the plans that were in place so they could update them, they discovered there was no plan. Trump’s team literally neglected to even make a plan to fight COVID-19! Now the immunizations are not being handled well and tons of doses are missing. When things are that screwed up, how could they possible have the numbers correct?

    3. @CognitiveDissonanceKills I absolutely agree. Hopefully this close call woke a lot of people up, and we will do much better in the future.

    1. Yes they are on record aiming for Herd immunity. That’s why they were trying to rush the economy back open and sending the kids to school.

  3. That man should be sued for genocide fir the killing of Americans in their own country by an incompetent old goat.

  4. Who would have thought that the failed business man and unentertaining reality TV show host would make for such an awful President.

  5. “If yоu саn’t tаke сare of yоur siсk in the соuntry, fоrget it, it’s аll оver.”
