  1. Thank you President @JoeBiden and Sen Sanders !!!

  2. As always Bernie puts the people before himself.

  3. Crap! He would have made an excellent labor secretary. But we can’t chance losing the senate to the party of treason.

  4. Love Bernie and thank you Biden for working with him

Joe Biden exported millions and millions of American jobs overseas in corporate trade deals like NAFTA and TPP.

Wise choice in keeping Bernie in the Senate. So wonderful to see a leader put thought into his decisions and explaining to the American people why he made that decision.

Lol. Bernie needs to not be in Biden’s crony Admin because that would silence Bernie.

Joe Biden only exported millions and millions of American jobs overseas in corporate trade deals like NAFTA and TPP.

Biden and his team, , talking about Bernie, anf how he cares for the American people, what a wonderful breath of fresh air, send Trump to Venzuela to golf for the rest of his life, enough of the orange clown..

    • Refreshing, right?

  7. With four years of Trump as contrast, that statement sounds so reasonable it makes my head spin

  8. Bernie Sanders is a straight up triple OG

  9. Bernie knows his importance of his place in the Senate to maintain control of the Senate.

Wasn’t kamala also part of the senate?

@Seraph Lake Yeah let’s storm the Capitol to keep those corporate tax cuts in place.

Governor of Vermont is a republican, if Bernie goes, a republican will be appointed.

    • tyler sparklin | January 8, 2021 at 4:47 PM | Reply

@jeck jeck Scott has said that he would fill Sanders’ seat with an independent who would caucus with the Democrats, as Sanders does.

    • tyler sparklin | January 8, 2021 at 4:47 PM | Reply

@jeck jeck Scott will be responsible for calling a special election within six months of the vacancy. The appointee will then serve in that role until the end of the previous senator’s term or the next general election.

As a Bernie supporter, this is the right choice. Bernie needs to stay in the Senate.

    • Tessmage Tessera | January 8, 2021 at 3:53 PM | Reply

I have mixed feelings about it. For one thing, we’re presuming that a Republican could take Bernie’s seat in Vermont… which I don’t think is very likely at all.

    • Sheila McGregor | January 8, 2021 at 3:57 PM | Reply

@Tessmage Tessera I believe the governor can appoint someone to fill a seat vacated in Congress. And our Governor is a Republican, though he is very sane and not part of the Trump cult.

    • Tessmage Tessera | January 8, 2021 at 4:03 PM | Reply

@Sheila McGregor Yeah but he has to appoint someone from the same party… which makes it even more complicated, because Bernie doesn’t belong to either party.

    • @Tessmage Tessera
On the bright side, Kentucky governor is a democrat, if Satan comes for his friend Mitch, replacement should be a democrat.

With leadership like Bernie in the Senate, the labor secretary will have good council.

I believe Joe Biden and Bernie Sanders made the right decision. I would’ve loved Bernie as the labor secretary but the Senate is at risk.
