Police ended a daylong manhunt when they arrested Frank James in New York City's East Village of Manhattan. Mayor Eric Adams addressed the arrest.

NYPD officers stopped Frank James in Manhattan's East Village, Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell said at a news conference. A tip came into the city's "crime stoppers" line.

Breon Peace, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, said James faces a federal terrorism charge targeting a mass transit system. James would be arraigned in federal court in Brooklyn and face life in prison if convicted, he said.
