It’s a simple work phone that you use to connect with other ministries & departments. They essentially control your phone, which is why you’re given a separate phone for work. Plus, not every department or ministry gets their own phone.
The fact this is new and not that ANY time wasting apps are installed on gov phones that taxpayers pay for IS the issue.
They shouldnt even need text messaging and should be standard issue flip phones. If im paying for that phone and I call it then I dang well expect you to pick up!
They need to be treated like giving your young child a phone. It NOT for calling your friends and playing games.
As a person who is married to a person with a work phone, yes I agree no time wasting apps, however, ability to check email and other apps are important
