Yeah and the cost of living has doubled.
Too bad none of those jobs are for high school drop out that didn’t learn to read till his mid teens because the education system dropped kids with ADHD and dyslexia on there heads when I was growing up
Try Dr. D Amen’s book found at any library system. Best book ever written on the subject

15.00 $ an hour x 8 -120.00 per day ,x 20 work days 2,400 a month- tax 1900.00 rent 1000 , leaves 900 for food transport clothes , ,now I’m in debt 300 a month , so if I work I owe 4000 a year , wtf!

@Brooke Skylar Shields the point is that minimum wage is supposed to cover your cost of living. There’s no reason why a person working at a gas station in Toronto shouldn’t be able to afford to live in Toronto without government assistance.

I guess it varies from region to region because my region’s unemployment rate is nearly 10% and a lot of places are short-staffed because they refuse to pay a living wage while the owners take bi-monthly vacations.
That unemployment rate is gonna skyrocket if you propose a living wage just so you know
