    1. @growler wolf Is there an example anywhere in the world of a purely capitalist system or a purely socialist system for that matter?

Socialism and capitalism are so often discussed as if they are diametrically opposed to each other. Reality seems to tell a different story. They exist on a continuum with both extremes being so rare they might not even exist in reality at all.

    2. @A. George The main problem is we have “opinionated talking heads” putting the labels on people instead of problems.
We spend billions on programs that are failed policies from the dark ages still.
Lobbyist buying off politicians for favors…. When Are We Gonna Grow Up?
People are dying in the streets, homeless, hungry, hopeless.
What are we doing to ourselves?

    3. We spend more per person in the US than any other country.
Because we have laws that prohibits any hospital from not caring for uninsured patients, it adds those cost onto insurance premiums and Medicare/ Medicaid programs.
Somebody still has to pay the bill.
We already have a very well functioning federal healthcare program, I’ve used for years, and my cost for covered services are the lowest ever in my lifetime.
The standard of living could increase 10 fold with universal healthcare, where everyone could seek medical care without going broke.
It would literally pay for itself in a few years.

    4. The thing about any form of government it can be setup any way people choose. It’s the words in a document that has to have teeth.
And out constitution was setup to “Make a More Prefect Union”… Meaning it’s ever changing ever evolving to make a more prefect union.

    5. @growler wolf: USA pays ten times more than other countries per patient for American drugs. Don’t you think that has something to do with it and that if America hadn’t banned the negotiation of prices, like other countries do, then the prices would be lower?

  1. Everything that Trump has accused others of he seems to be guilty of……
his accusations have always been his confessions.

  2. Universal health care has give Europe the greatest advantage; over the worst and the first vaccine rolling out today in Britain and the only GLOBAL solution; the OXFORD on the way…. caring in the first place pays!

    1. In the USA healthcare is a commodity traded on the stock market.
      That’s capitalism.
We humans have to fend for ourselves. Even 3 hots and a cot beats the streets.

  3. The Republican party and their King boss are causing all the problems in America. Impeach every one of them in the Senate who allowed this to happen. Not one of our first responders should have died on their watch. That’s murder.

  4. Largely because there was no aggressive lockdown early and hard. The genie got out the bottle and oh well we can’t do anything about it attitude. Should have then doubled down but no. This is an unmitigated disaster…..and unfortunately going to get worse before any vaccine has positive effects.

    1. There wasn’t only a lack of lockdowns, but an encouragement of coming together in large groups. This pandemic will be studied for a hundred years and more, but you don’t have to be a scientist to understand the pictures from Mardi Gras 2020.

    1. Not just taxes, they’re sending letters to citizens with words like this is your final warning; you have not donated enough money to Donald Trump and his family. It’s completely insane.

    1. I Dont know anyone still Talking about it .. No one i Know has it either , And its not a big deal , A New flu bug so what , you need to GET OVER it & Start focus on our Border and Economy

  5. So you’re saying calling it a Democrat hoax and playing golf didn’t turn the trick?…..How surprising…
