Champagne: Canada is monitoring quarantined coronavirus cruise ship carefully

Foreign Affairs Minister Francois-Philippe Champagne gave an update on Canadians trapped on a cruise ship off the coast of Japan, saying some who have contracted COVID-19 have been taken to local hospitals, while others remain on the vessel.

  1. Since when does a cruise company operating in international waters have jurisdiction of citizens from a diverse number of countries?

    I’d be off that ship and making my own decisions. If making your own decisions is not an option in any situation, you are not living your own life, someone else is.
