This is so sad. I like Erin Burnett as a journalist much better than Lemon, and she was guilty of this too. Charlemagne is the black Howard Stern. His show ostensibly deals with urban gossip and celebrity. He makes a good living like Howard Stern dealing with buffoonery. And now Democratic candidates are visiting his show. Mencken once quipped, “No one ever went broke (should use bankrupt instead of broke when paraphrasing with Trump) underestimating the intelligence of the American people.” The movie, Idiocracy, was originally a satire. Today, it demonstrates the movie was a clinical diagnosis of America’s lack of seriousness and intellect. It is easy to understand why there is a euphoria for factory jobs as opposed to preparing for the high paying, STEM related careers of the 21st Century.
