Elijah McClain died last August after a violent encounter with police in Aurora, Colorado. McClain was put in a chokehold by officers, and given a sedative by the paramedics before going into cardiac arrest and dying three days later in the hospital. Governor Jared Polis has called for a thorough investigation. "We owe it to the people of Colorado, as well as his mother, to make sure we take every step we can to ensure that those responsible for his death are held accountable in a court of law." It should NOT matter what 3 million people think what Justice is or what the family thinks is Justice. Justice is what the law says. These cops and the EMT murdered an American citizen and the government of Colorado (including the governor) covered up that murder.

A young man is walking home having committed no crime and he is now dead. What happened in an encounter is responsible. It was excused and covered up. His family have been trying to get an explanation for months. This is absolute corruption. I am certain that this would not have happened in the UK or NZ. The police have far better training despite their flaws to deal with asking a few questions of a clearly innocent young man. America is a very sick place
