Jenny Durkan is completely glossing over what this Administration did to Science, and our Pandemic response and Infrastructure. She also failed to say that this Administration refused the kits WHO offered and other countries took in January and multiple times after the first refusal. Propaganda rewriting this Administrations complete failures.
True. Additionally, Trump’s proto-fascist “big lie” factory, spewing 16,000 verified lies since his election has given him zero credibility. Thus, when a crisis does hit, nobody believes him at a time when credibility is crucial.

I’m a Senior Business Analyst for a major bank, and I love data…but, this coronavirus thing is WAY TOO WILD, to even get baseline data from. I’m sure the brainiacs at the W.H.O. are pouring over ALL OF IT, but…this is a once in a lifetime thing…trying to get meaningful data, (at this point), is going to be VERY difficult, and will take time. We have got to spend more on analysis, and prevention in the future.

America rejected WHO’s offer of testing kits preferring to rely on their own that they hadn’t made yet, somebody is making a lot of money out of that decision and we need to investigate to find out who they are!
Trump turned down the WHO Coronavirus tests he was offered, preferring to wait for the ones made by a company he has a financial interest in. Trump put millions of lives at risk for his own financial benefit. Notice how Pence kept referring to the privately owned labs that would be creating the tests, and saying the businesses’ names during his press conferences. Every policy decision, every travel plan, every meeting with a foreign leader is based on how it will benefit Trump & his Family financially. There is no other motivation. It’s all about the grift, always has been.
