  1. Jenny Durkan is completely glossing over what this Administration did to Science, and our Pandemic response and Infrastructure. She also failed to say that this Administration refused the kits WHO offered and other countries took in January and multiple times after the first refusal. Propaganda rewriting this Administrations complete failures.

    • True. Additionally, Trump’s proto-fascist “big lie” factory, spewing 16,000 verified lies since his election has given him zero credibility. Thus, when a crisis does hit, nobody believes him at a time when credibility is crucial.

      @Mainely Not to mention that Trump has been contradicting all the professionals and scientists literally in the first statement after they speak

      The president doesn’t want to test…. if they test the “numbers” will go up.

    • @Evan Matsumoto Yes, he also fired the pandemic response team, part of the right wing “religion” of hating and destroying our government.

      @Mainely At last, another who truly sees that Trump (and might I add, his supporters) have fascist tendencies and gravitate towards lies!

  2. Trump has failed this nation like no president has in the history of the United States.

  3. The statistics obviously depend on how many people you test.

    • Hence Trump’s foot dragging on the test kits.

    • I’m a Senior Business Analyst for a major bank, and I love data…but, this coronavirus thing is WAY TOO WILD, to even get baseline data from. I’m sure the brainiacs at the W.H.O. are pouring over ALL OF IT, but…this is a once in a lifetime thing…trying to get meaningful data, (at this point), is going to be VERY difficult, and will take time. We have got to spend more on analysis, and prevention in the future.

    • @Mainely yup

  4. We’re number one,we’re number one, we’re ah….never mind!

    Can someone explain why they can’t use the same test as everyone else?

    • because the WH Psychopath took the wrong bet. This Covid19 is just a flu and will pass soon, like a miracle, is his hunch

      @Ryan Gollings – I’ve been listening to C-SPAN radio, which is broadcasting a lot of the House of Representatives and Senate Committee and subcommittee hearings. The members have been asking the same question as you did and so far, no one has given them an answer.

    • @Yvonne Tomenga Since CPAC became an infection vector, expect a LOT OF REPUBLICANS to self-quarantine. It has already been on AF1.

    • Ryan Gollings If we used the same test as everyone else, Big Pharm wouldn’t be able to make a killing on it.

  6. I thought Trump had a hunch it was going to disappear just like a miracle…….pooof ? He understands this stuff because his uncle was a genius and he is the chosen one isn’t he?

  7. I suspect a major portion of the 8.3 billion dollars approved by Congress for the covid 19 outbreak will actually go directly into the pockets of major pharmaceutical companies

      probablyalot will go to failing oil companies and to all the oil companies

      @GrimJerr – You are misinformed. An excerpt from the summary of the bill states:

      The programs funded by the bill address issues such as

      developing, manufacturing, and procuring vaccines and other medical supplies;

      grants for state, local, and tribal public health agencies and organizations;

      loans for affected small businesses;

      evacuations and emergency preparedness activities at U.S. embassies and other State Department facilities;

      and humanitarian assistance and support for health systems in the affected countries.

      The bill also allows HHS to temporarily waive certain Medicare restrictions and requirements regarding telehealth services during the coronavirus public health emergency.

      The Koreans have a treatment which had ALREADY CURED A LOT OF PEOPLE. It’s an old generic drug well-tolerated, and cheap Chloroquine allows zinc ions to enter cells and block viral reproduction. blocking

    • @Yvonne Tomenga like I said thanks for proving my point. ” “manufacturing vaccines”

    • Yvonne Tomenga | March 12, 2020 at 8:05 PM | Reply

      @GrimJerr – How does it prove your point? Non-federal governments, evacuations, small businesses, etc., are not owned by the pharmaceutical companies.

  8. tRUmp doesn’t want the world to know how many cases we have.
    Imagine the number of cases double everyday for the next month.

    Well China can’t bail us out of this one. America will go bankrupt. Trump knows all about bankruptcy. Have no fear.

  10. And just a few days ago trump was bragging that l million test kits were on their way – a blatant lie that serves no purpose whatsoever. This is the worst betrayal of the American citizens and the world. We are being led by a thug, nutcase, and fool.

    • Anna Jorgensen | March 11, 2020 at 5:17 PM | Reply

      We are crying out for help and Trump is trying to keep anyone from knowing what is truly going on in this country!!!

    • Of course the didn’t take the test kits made in Germany from the WHO. This was for stocks in American pharmaceutical companies. I’m sure his blue blooded snot nosed children invested a great deal.

  11. A system that failed ? Don’t we have the best health care in the world ? Oh ya I forgot , the US is #37

  12. America rejected WHO’s offer of testing kits preferring to rely on their own that they hadn’t made yet, somebody is making a lot of money out of that decision and we need to investigate to find out who they are!

  13. This lady’s right people are not equipped in the hospital’s testing.
    And the funding Trump is holding back funding for all this testing which could be devastating to so many Americans

      Plus who go’ pay for the millions of gowns and eye protection and gloves that the test-takers must wear as they administer the tests????? This is an outbreak waiting to happen.

      Annie S. , your poor and unemployed who have no health insurance will be left behind with this pandemic, spreading the virus far and wide. So the American medical system upheld by King Trump may bring about the bankruptcy of the US….exactly what Trump is so good at!

  17. LOL I sent my RN license back to the state after George W bush finished wrecking US healthcare. I was an RN including ER and community health for 25 years and I have to LMAO at even the word public health. We’re talkin barebones. People are already dying in the streets of poverty, lack of access to healthcare, preventable diseases such as hepatitis typhoid and b******* like that. USA is about to show the world how screwed up our healthcare system is. and how Uncle Sam loves the corporation’s it takes good care of them while the people and citizens die
