  1. I hope real health experts are the one’s to prepare/create this test/standard and not politicians or bureaucrats.

  2. The college of physicians does not want any new grads. They like shortages so there is lots of demand for their services

    1. ALSO REFUSE TO USE AI TOO. TAX PAYERS PAY MORE TO SUPPORT THE PRIVILEGED. THEY NEED TO LIVE COMFORTABLY.

  3. How small is the chance, that somebody, who was not a doctor could circumvent this new process and become a doctor in Canada.

    1. @PK Blondie AI TECHNOLOGY IS THE SAME. USA HAS MORE RESEARCHERS, MOST ADVANCED IN MEDICAL SCIENCE. CANADA BETTER ADOPT AMERICAN HIGHER LEVEL STANDARD. OR USE THE SAME AI AND PROGRAM IT TO A LOWER CANADIAN STANDARD.

    2. Basically zero as #1. You would not even qualify to apply on the basis of already being a citizen AND #2. Would still have to show proof of credentials from another country and pass an equivalency test.

    1. @Misty Just because you don’t understand Germ Theory does not mean Germs do not exist.

  4. Bureaucratic risk aversion at the micro level tends to create an aggregate higher overall level of risk. The current test is almost impossible to pass

  5. I am an immigration consultant and a LOT of very qualified doctors and nurses would love to come here. Unfortunately, as per he just said there are way too many hurdles to go through.

    1. Yes, because we have different standards . If someone isn’t qualified to provide professional knowledgeable care, then we don’t want them. It’s called making the grade. Prove you can do the job to the level that your employer expects.

    2. I’m glad there’s hurdles. You don’t get an Olympic medal for running slower than the rest of your competition.

    1. NO THANK YOU.
HEALTHCARE AI COSTS DOLLARS A DAY, PASSED AMERICAN MEDICAL LICENSING EXAMINATION AT “EXPERT LEVEL”.
USING HUMANS WITH PRIVILEGES INSTEAD. WHERE DOES THE MONEY COME FROM? ANS.: THE MONEY COMES FROM THE WORKING POOR IN CANADA WHO CAN HARDLY MAKE ENDS MEET.

  6. This should be done with all trades. It would solve a lot of issues regarding trade and professional services.

    1. IT IS ABOUT MAKING THE PATIENT HEALTHIER BY FOLLOWING PROTOCOLS DEVELOPED BY RESEARCHERS. NO ONE BEATS AI IN FOLLOWING PROTOCOLS OR ANY ROUTINE WORK IN EFFICIENCY AND COST.

  7. Some acturally die while waiting for the doctor to arriver in emergency department…and this happening Canada!!? Canada needs lots of Doctors & Nurses immediately

  8. The same licensing should be extended to all professions in Canda. Many provincial professional licensing organizations, especially in Quebec, resemble the medieval Guilds.
