Travelers can now float permanently on a luxury residential cruise ship starting in 2024.

Correction: A previous version of this video misstated the number of projected residences on board.

Even the most adventurous travelers may long to sleep in their own bed after a while. But Alister Punton, co-founder and CEO of Storylines, which will launch its first residential cruise ship in 2024 departing from Croatia, has a fix for that.

"Well, you take your home with you," Punton told USA TODAY, who started the company with CSO Shannon Lee.

The vessel, MV Narrative, will feature 547 residences and a range of amenities. The ship will sail to six continents, and residents can treat the units as floating pieds-a-terre or year-round homes, so their travels never have to end.

  1. If God can’t make you rich who can?

In America Censorship is good, the truth cannot hurt you anymore only lies can. It’s called the American dream and reality just gets in the way. Alternative facts is better than having no facts at all … Make America great again vote to stay stupid,.… Don’t forget to watch the news, it helps.

  2. Getting us ready for the spaceship version when it’s time for the millionaires to make a sly getaway without making us wanna completely lose our spit.

  3. This actually not surprising, as according to the crews of these ships most of the passengers are old people who simply spend their whole retirement on cruises. The average age on board is old enough that every cruise will see someone die.

  4. Retired elderlies prefer the ship instead of nursing homes nowadays. It’s cheaper and more convenient.
