The decision to reopen is not a public health decision. It is a political one – pandering to Trump.

    • This is where you have it backwards..the politics is to keep everything closed

    • @Jeff Woods So where will you place the deaths?

This is so true, Tracy! They are reopening so the economy won’t tank before the election. I think a lot of elected officials want things to go back to “normal” so it won’t hurt their re-election chances. Dead people can’t vote anyway.

    • @aussie jim Ok, let’s get back to reality..the human race has gone through all manners of sickness and disease..our bodies are meant to deal with them..those at risk should go what is necessary to protect themselves and parents should protect infants but, the world needs to move forward..
No one needs to remain under a rock..

  2. “Death is death….and we’ve done a great job.”
    –Trump May 14, 2020

    Spoken like a true sociopath.

    • “What do you have to say to the scared people out there?”
      “You’re a terrible reporter!”
      ” 😲 🤦‍♂️ ”
      Yup. Like a true sociopath.

      Trump – “We have prevailed!”
      *Grim Reaper liked this*

  3. Trump is giving the Governor’s all the authority and guidelines but turning the people against them…..he can’t lose. If it gets bad he can blame the governors and if it gets good he can take the credit……meanwhile “wink wink” to his base. Unreal…..wake up people!!

most of the deaths are people that Trump sees as a problem.
why not keep it going. It’s “”malignant narcissism 101”.

I thought the elderly were by and large Trump supporters. Trump calls them “warriors.” Even the military has limits on who is too old or too young to be part of the fighting. Trump has no such boundaries. From the youngest to the oldest, throw them on the fire!

  5. Texas: “It’s ok to gather in large groups!”
    Texans: “Yay!”
    Coronavirus: “Mmm….BBQ!”

  6. Trump is intentionally ignoring the medical experts and willfully endangering American lives and livelihoods.

  7. For his reelection campaign, Trump is running on the idea of snake oil. He promises the snake oil will be ready soon and it will be amazing. It will cure corona.

  8. I keep thinking about how future generations will look at this time and shake their heads…

  9. The 28 to 50% non compliant could die in sufficient numbers to make Texas a blue state by November – a very ugly Darwinian outcome.

Why are protesters wearing masks, don’t wear like the clown, and mix around with your friends and don’t demand attention when infected, just refer to the clown for treatment?

As a Dallas resident ill say what the judge has done and continues to do is truly put health over politics. Our Gov and his incompetent team including the Attorney General
Are setting us back in a horrible horrible
    Way.
