Daschle: Biden, Schumer, Mcconnell Have a Combined ‘100 Years of Working Together’ | Andrea Mitchell

Former Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle (D-SD) joins Andrea Mitchell to discuss the standoff between Chuck Schumer and Mitch McConnell over an organizing resolution, and the prospects for bipartisanship in a 50-50 senate. When I look at the three leaders, President Biden, Chuck Schumer, and Mitch McConnell, they have almost a century of Senate service, a century. That's 100 years of working together in various ways," Daschle says. "If a century of service in the senate doesn't serve as a factor in coming together, I don't know what will." Aired on 01/22/2021.

  1. Someone tell Democrats not to share power in the senate. Democrats need to stop trying to play nice with Mitch.

    1. @M G – Getting rid of Trump is purely in the benefit of Mitch McConnell. He should also commit to getting rid of Cruz, Hawley and Paul.

    2. @Karaoke Star Purely a benefit to Mitch McConnell? You’re out of your mind. Perhaps you’ve been hiding under a rock the past 4 years, Trump destroyed America on many levels, he’s a danger to this country should he be able to run again. Yes, I agree with the others you mention, perhaps a package deal.

    3. @M G – Mitch wants to get rid of Trump as much as you or me. He is going to play games while doing it. ALSO – if Trump is able to tun again, he will destroy the Republicans and the chances of him actually winning is ZERO.

    4. @M G I see it as Mitch having a leaking bucket of votes/contributors. As time goes on he’s losing votes in one of at least two directions. Mitch is bluffing. It’s imperative to impeach and convict to hold onto his diminishing power.

  2. And McConnell would toss it all in the garbage in an instant to add just one minute of delay to the democratic agenda..

    1. Its going to be very hard to reverse Citizens United, because all of the greedy pigs in both parties love money above all else!!

    1. My country was not all bombing and watching the rich 🤑 I found happiness many times and saw inspiration and creativity and love my family! This is a republic with a vote, maybe a little more positive thoughts???

  3. Jeez, no three politicians should ever have a combined 100 years in government, especially in one THIS broken. This isn’t impressive, this is shameful lol.

    1. U must remember trump is an outsider he does not care about the Republican or Democrat he wanted to please Putin and him self that is why he tried to split the country into two divisions.

    1. He’s still trying to run the Senate as if he’s the majority leader. He’s been the leader so long that his brain is locked.

  4. You can’t trust a Republican as far as you can throw them out of office. The Republican party have you no ounce of dignity or shame left after 4 years of Donald J Trump
