After watching the hearings all day I still don’t know what the crime is. It looks like the Democrats are still looking for an impeachable crime, or for that matter a crime of any kind. Schiff was asked about his reasoning for his changing the wording of the transcript during his opening statement to congress and got mad and said “The gentleman recuses himself” instead of answering. Impeachment will not happen…

I agree completely. As this piece lays out, Schiff was a prosecutor and he is well familiar with the strategies that are successful in prosecuting people. This becomes really clear when you compare him to other members of congress in questioning sessions. Whereas other members ramble and grandstand and lose focus, Schiff is concerned with asking questions he knows the answers to and establishing the narrative this way. He’d do great as floor manager, I’m sure of that.

In all the years that I’ve known of Schiff I’ve found him to be ethical and law-abiding in his many positions. I still fact check him but can say without pause that he is trustworthy in these roles as well.
