  1. Some may be laughing but mine will be suffering. Kids need social interaction and their friends. They already sit on electronic devices to much as it is and now we force them to do it.

    1. ck is intellectually dishonest. Replied to me then deleted the original factually incorrect post and the reply.

  2. I would prepare to stop paying taxes and finding other resources where they don’t bully, intimidate, coerce or try and convince you to take an experiment in order to use their service.

  3. What are families supposed to do? Both parents need to work at least one job each to JUST make ends meet.
Will government give financial support to parents who have to quit a job to be home schooling their kids?

    1. @kirsten rissling that needs to happen sooner than later. I have been struggling to get by since the pandemic started. I was in college at the time and havnt been able to get back to school or work with my kids being at home off and on.

    2. @M M are you serious? It means they control our income. It wouldn’t be temporary. I know that sounds like a crazy conspiracy theory, but if we can think it up, they can think it up.

    3. @kirsten rissling it doesn’t at all mean they control your income. It means anyone making under a certain amount gets topped up. No more welfare no more EI. Everyone, everyone, would be guaranteed a basic income. And if you make more than it, you don’t get it. Pretty simple and life saving

    4. @AvaLeafs10 if we could keep this civil, I’d be interested in how you think replacing welfare with a different name would help? To me, giving everyone money might be bad for the economy. Minimum wage would have to go up, wouldn’t it? Nobody would bother working for anything under the basic amount they would get for doing nothing.

  4. The same folks who keep preaching about following the science sure do a great job of ignoring it. Canada’s always a dollar short and a day late. Terrible leaders that Canadians re-elect expecting different results.

  5. My parents in Florida say kids there haven’t missed a minute in class. Can this expert pick up a phone please…

    1. Most States are wide open, they are strong and Free, except some Dem states, we are cowardly here in Comuda

    2. She is the Ottawa public health officer. She advocates for keeping schools open. Ontario provincial public health officials have the final say, however.

    1. @Max Weinbach why make that assumption? Why make a reasonable question into some out of pocket personal attack or degradation? If they aren’t an expert, do they not have a right to ask something fairly obvious? Do you have an answer? Do you have anything of use to add? I’m going to go ahead and assume you are a troll.

    2. @Patrick Taylor “if experts are 100% wrong about everything” isn’t an assumption. Conditional clauses assumes that the person making the statement knows what the main clause is.
      Let’s start from there champ.

    1. Imagine a situation where if you add an average of three patients per hospital it breaks the system? Every single hospital administrator needs to be fired in this province.

    1. Many families have been homeschooling for years perfectly fine without schools set it’s called internet connection and technology you can basically teach yourself anything you want as for keeping restaurants like Burger King open that’s because you need food to live you don’t need to go to public school to live but you do need food.

  6. You paying for the babysitter for the next four weeks ? I’ll just send you the bill in the mail. Thanks Doc !!

  7. Tbh I initially disliked the video through instinct, but this doctor is actually trying to keep schools open, with I agree with. You can still tell that she’s hesitant to actually just flat out say “COVID is not dangerous to kids, kids need socialization, teachers need to step up and teach these kids, etc.” but at least she’s opposing the new restrictions

  8. Just wondering, why is there a different top doctor every week. There was another top doctor last week.
