Dump truck gets wedged under overpass on Ottawa highway

There were major delays on a busy highway in Ottawa after a dump truck collided with an overpass.

  1. How do you not notice the box isn’t down where it’s supposed to be while driving down the highway? The driver must’ve been high.

  2. Once again driver missed two safety steps that would have prevented this.
    A. Make sure box lifting actuator valve is in down position.
    B. Make sure PTO pump is disengaged.
    Both of these are required before driving on public roadway.
    Completely preventable. Driver’s error.
