Exactly right Eddie Glaude. This version of the Republican party started in the Nixon administration. Republicans didn’t clean house. They made dirty tricks and cheating mainstream GOP, rewarded the liars and cheaters, and it escalated to what we see today.

Yes, it is well said and completely true for normal people. But what does it help to say it, except that it confirms what we all actually knew.
