Exactly, it’s way too expensive. Lot of people cannot afford it.

    • Orthel Faulknor | September 12, 2020 at 6:35 AM | Reply

Straightening of the teeth can take up to 2 years.
Please tell me this Would you allow someone who walked off the street to fix your car engine if they told they studied it on YouTube

    • @Orthel Faulknor yes, for intelligence and education are not the same. A person doesn’t needs the education to perform a task, all they need is to be blessed with the proper “high IG” and experience. Once the person has experience and reputation of great works stands out. Then for me, education is useless. Look how many people have education but are shitty at their 9-5 jobs, why, they lack intelligence, do not confuse the two.

    • @drey costing
Well intelligence tells me that having someone put instruments in your mouth that you can not verify if they were sterilized is a risky business. Having water poured in your mouth from a bottle of unknown origin. I wonder if you would actually entertain getting braces on from the
      utube dentist .
The real problem lies with the poor Jamaicans who are desparate and think that this method can actually fix their teeth only to realize with time that They have been tricked

    • @Orthel Faulknor you’re commenting saying you’re intelligent, however, you’re assessing a situation base on what a “hater doctor” said without first getting the real facts from the ground. Your first post made somewhat sense, but now you’re spreading a false narrative. Because there are thousands of people out there who will gladly testify that their teeth has been straighten using this market. I’ve seen that with my ‘own eyes’ countless of times. However, you are blinded and now you want to use the narrative “poor people”. Poor has nothing to do with it, it’s about product and service costs, #accounting. If this market can do braces for $10k, then why is there such a marginal cost by the doctors for $700k to $900k. Why not be reasonable at $100k to $150k. If you can’t understand this simple point, then I’m done right here, for clearly, you would lack the analytical skillsets and blinded by an emotional thought process.

  3. In my humble opinion..remember opinion..braces were worn by the anyone can get it…plus its lost of income for some elite…why not make it a skill and licence these people…its obviously a skill..that is taught and learnt…oh why its not so special now right…right.

Again only in Jamaica.Very unhealthy practice no sterile instruments in use and people sit comfortable alllowing a quack in their mouth

  7. Everything poor ppl fine to make honest money uno fight them cuz uno can’t get to hunt them and kill dem like animals…like the ppl them alone bout $5000 US

It’s too expensive and I believe that’s why more people are gravitating towards it although it’s not entirely safe. They need to make it more affordable for people.

    • Shamila Johnson | September 10, 2020 at 7:21 PM | Reply

Remember a USA the Braces come from and a no lot a orthodox in a jamaica so it gonna expensive in usa 5000 is just 5000 but in Jamaica it’s more so that’s why if them lower it down them na go have money to buy it plus pay themselves

    • Ikr it’s a hold down mentality in Jamaica that’s why the young people dem lose hope. The youth a try a thing one less criminal off the streets one less scammer, one less crook. And the ones at the top damage his hopes and dreams

    • I Don’t Normally Comment But😑Exactly This Should Be A Highlighted Comment And A Measure Put Into Place Because Everything Black People Fight Against Each Other! It May Seems Wrong But They Are Earning A Honest Living Who The Police Should Be Looking For To Arrest Are People Who A Committing Crime And Other Harm To The Life Of The Citizens In The Country I Thank You!!!

    • Oh the unwise speaketh. Let us hear how the follow up and complications are handled when needed please. Let us hear how those will chronic illnesses are managed. Short cuts draw _____? lol. This is funny. These things are done by Dental Surgeons. Next time a youtube doctor wants to take out your appendix, please go to them as well. lol

    • CHYN JAS This is a crime. Is it that you only understand crime to involve gun slinging and deaths?

  9. MI….

  10. Typical layman that just think teeth is just teeth. sigh And so called poor people will always rally around things that lack protocol because it seems harmless on the surface. The myopic mind is real.

  11. Same thoughts went into e-smoking until lungs became damaged. But who cant hear will feel. It is not the same day leaf drop in water it rotten.

  12. Who is accountable if complications occur after his procedures? hmmm

    • They will automatically send the patient to A+E. But those people can’t even write a referral for they are not medically certified. Sigh. Fashion over health.

  14. I’ve been saying this from day one Jamaica is not young people friendly.

  15. It’s very very unsafe… I’ve had colleagues who had seen patients with decayed crowns of teeth as a result of the fashion braces.
