@blupheonix44 They cooked the books to fool the regulators so I guess Texas thought it would get rid of regulators instead of getting rid of corporations that break the rules. Enron did go bankrupt.

Fun fact: ERCOT had $791 million in cash according to its 2018 financial statement. And yet didn’t use any of that to winterize its infrastructure, despite having 9 years to do it since the last winter outage in 2011.
