GOP Rep.-elect George Santos of New York admitted in two separate interviews on Monday to lying about parts of his resume but claimed that he hasn’t committed any crimes and intends to serve in Congress.
Santos has faced scrutiny over discrepancies in his employment and education history, as well as other public claims he has made about his biography. In interviews with WABC radio and the New York Post – the first times Santos has spoken publicly about the controversy – he acknowledged that he had fabricated some facts.
“I am not a criminal. Not here, not abroad, in any jurisdiction in the world have I ever committed any crimes,” Santos said in an interview with WABC radio host John Catsimatidis. #melaniezanona #ac360 #CNN

And he has now fully exposed the Republicon cult as requiring it’s members to lie so they can be elected into high positions of responsibility and them implement authoritarian policies and agendas leading to a failed state like Russia and North Korea!
A few years ago we had a few people campaigning in our neighborhood for both parties, although I’m an independent, I was approached by both side asking my thoughts or what side i would be voting for. I politely stated that all of these politician’s are liars, and we shouldn’t trust a word that comes out of their mouths; they’ll say anything to get voted into office and get donation funds out of you. Interestingly enough, they both just walked away without a reply, because they had none. This is the current landscape of politics, and I’m sure it has been going on since we started voting, but it’s pretty bad now.

Absolutely. That former guy should never have been even a candidate with the 26 charges of sexual assault, how he cheated on his taxes, how he cheated anyone he did business with, his 40 years of close ties with Russia, his close ties to Saudi Arabia, his close ties to China, and his five bankruptcies. The Republican party knew all this about Trump and it was more important to win an election than have a decent candidate. We know Santos is a pathological liar, he should be removed now and never be allowed to run for any public office again.
I once had to be fingerprint-background-checked for a slightly more secure contracting position than a common one. And they DID a check, as they questioned one of the items on my resume. I had to produce documentation that I’d worked where I said I did (tax form showing my employment) or I’d not get the job. Of course, I had the docs, so it was good. Why are politicians not held to the same standards as the rest of us? This is getting absurd, and our government is becoming a corrupt joke.

@Stefan Schleps Oh I have no love for employers. But if I put it out there on my resume, then it’s fair game. My boss had me interview a potential addition to the group. On her resume she listed 3 projects she’d done in college, so I asked about each one. She just looked very confused and had no answers. I recommended against hiring her but my boss hired her anyway. 3 months later, she was pregnant and went on maternity leave.
EVERYTHING on my resume is 100% true. Besides the fact that everything and anything could be verified, I work as a teacher here in Toronto, Ontario. So, everything OUGHT to be verified BEFORE I’m hired!
Before I could even be licenced to work in Ontario , my entire educational background was verified by the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT). The verification process could take anywhere from a few weeks to several months. This depends on the number of applications at a given time and the complexity of each individual’s application. Also, I needed THREE police record checks! The 1st one was to become a student teacher. The 2nd one was for OCT. The 3rd one was for who became my current employer. If I had applied to more than one school board then I would have needed more than THREE police record checks!
Even after the interview, it still takes months to be offered a job as references need to be verified and one’s background needs to be closely inspected! I appear to have gone through more scrutiny than this liar!

Last month, a colleague of mine was arrested because he had obtained his teaching position by lying about one of his PhD’s. He risks up to 5 years in jail. Italy may be full of problems but lying on your resume is very dangerous.
