  1. He said he is doing good . But, it’s visible that he is not , quite upset and angry . I hope his friend recovers ..

    1. @ATL1 The term “troll” is completely misused by uneducated morons who failed English 101. Face your consequences.

  2. I hope he gets well soon and that his family/friends stay strong. Sports are very taxing on the body. Maybe there needs to be mandatory full body health checkups with scans, EKG, blood work up, and so on, every so often? Spotting a problem early on, might save a person from this happening again.

    1. There are no tests currently in existence that could have diagnosed or prevented what happened to him. It’s just one of those hits. The only thing that could have prevented what happened to him, was by not playing football, and being tackled in just the wrong way.
Perfectly healthy individuals have died the same way from getting hit in the chest by baseballs, etc…

    2. NFL does do that, and there’s not really any condition happening here, could’ve happened to anyone with bad enough luck regardless of their health.

  3. He is so emotional and very distraught right now. Tough interview! Everyone must be so hard broken. Just tough! 😢

  4. He’s not OK totally devastated keep him in prayer.
He definitely needs support as well you can hear the pain …

  5. Yeah, this young man is really upset. He is really shook up still. I hope he and his friend, Demar, can reunite soon in some good times again. He seems like a really nice young man and a good friend. 🕯️

  6. You are a real friend Rodney, thanks for your example. Continue to be strong, we continue to pray for Damar 🖤❤️🙏🏾

  7. He hears you, Rodney. You are a strong and loving close friend and all feel the same way doing it and Damar Hamlin is a fighter and he lucky man because what happened Monday night was very scary and sad.

Fantastic news that he opened his eyes last night

Here is some information Damar Hamlin is still up there fighting and he is a strong young man he is a fighter and I think this special and sweet for his high school teammate that they both also were born in the town of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania he is Rookie this year for the Colts his name is Rodney Thomas he is also a Safety and I will have some news of that too and he also young too they both were drafted pretty close to each other.

So this how it happened Colts Rookie Safety Rodney Thomas detailed visiting his childhood friend and high school teammate Damar Hamlin in the hospital while speaking to reporters on Wednesday and Thomas said he had no idea what had happened to Hamlin until his dad FaceTime him. Thomas said he got in his car and drove to the University of Cincinnati medical center to be with Hamlin. Thomas said he held Hamlin’s hand spoke to him. I know he could hear me Thomas said even if he couldn’t hear me, it didn’t matter. I said what I had to say. Thomas met Hamlin at Central Catholic High School in Pittsburgh where the two were teammates and also became close friends and Thomas said he and Hamlin talked every day and even spoke before Monday’s game. The Colts play against the Texans on Sunday and Thomas said he will have Hamlin on his mind during the game. Then the last part of what Thomas said that there is no doubt in my mind that he’s a fighter. No other thought in my mind of him walking out under his own power.
