    1. @joshuaoverlord i think you underestimate the value of advertisers. why do you think twitter bent the knee to the gods of corporate consumerism? why do you think “go woke go broke” never proves true? because when you are more inclusive, you get more customers, thus more money.

    2. @Michael Finnigan actually vice went woke and it almost gone completely broke by now. Netflix stocks tanked Disney stocks are tanking. So the saying you go woke you go broke is true because no one wants to put their money towards something that jams inclusivity in your face

    3. @joshuaoverlord i don’t think commercial entertainment is indicative of woke. they may virtue signal as a form of advertisement, and that is what i mean by expanding your appeal.

no one perceives the presence of representation to be jamming inclusivity in their faces.

they don’t think of inclusivity as something that needs to be jammed, it’s an expectation.

netflix has had value problems since day one.

disney had an uncharacteristic spike in 2021, to their highest value ever. i would say their current value is a correction. they hit a lower spot in 2020, but i see no reason to expect their long term value to drop.

vice was founded from the very start with youth as their target audience, i don’t see how you can remain relevant to that demographic without being aware of social inequalities.

and going briefly through their wiki, i don’t see exactly how they are woke. one of their founders was a proud boy. he’s one of the people advocating for closing our eyes to systemic inequities. the guy said he was happy most williamsburg hipsters were white, then we got pushback did the “it was just a prank, you see i was just pranking the establishment media”.

i’m going to ask you a question that was asked of desantis’ lawyers.

      what is woke?

    4. @Michael Finnigan what is being woke. Best way to describe it is to force diversity and inclusion. Like with the buzz lightyear movie they forced a lesbian kissing scene and there was spark parent outrage. There’s also the Netflix adaptation of cowboy Bebop where they changed characters drastically for the sake of diversity. There’s also the resident evil one from Netflix too.

    1. @The Dave and Jim Show i needed a twitter account to have my spotify artist account verified… Ridiculous huh. Twatter is near pointless really. Those who value it as a source of information need a long hard look in the mirror.
If it wouldn’t compromise my artist account, I’d delete my twitter right away.

    2. 68 here and I have a life. Been to busy for anything like Twitter or any of the others and I’m not to keen on addictions either.

    1. I doubt you paid any attention to the Twitter files because if you did you would know that the emails between employees that were identified were verified by the sender/receiver and lower level employees names were redacted.

    2. @You TuberYou people want to place Elon Musk’s failures at Twitter on the former employees and executives!! It won’t work because he has been exposed!! MAGA radical!!

    3. @You Tuber The Twitter files is pure B.S. and you know it!! Propaganda and misinformation designed to make Elon Musk look like the victim at Twitter!! Why even do such nonsense!!??

  1. I’ve never been on Twitter but if I was, I would send some mean Tweets about Musk just to see if my freedom of speech would be suspended by King Elon.

    1. Before Musk, Twitter was total censorship, a platform for lying Nazis. I hope Musk will bring the spirit of freedom and justice there.

  2. They are referring Twitter as a “vital”tool? (necessary for the success or continued existence of something; extremely important). Are you kidding?

    1. No, neither they nor I am kidding, and incredulity and ignorance are not an argument it isn’t a vital tool for them (and many others).

  3. You know, if everyone just deleted their accounts, it would put this troll out of business. I assure you your life will go on without Twitter. I’m sure some other platform will come along. This whole thing is the most First World Problems I’ve ever seen.

    1. If you mean one of the divers involved in the cave rescue of all those children, he won that in a Court. Apparently, the man he called a pedophile was, in fact, a pedophile.

  4. Since Elon bought Twitter seems like he’s not working anymore and just sitting, trolling. This is what happens when you let your parents use social networks, in case of Elon, to buy one. They ruin fun for everyone

    1. @joshuaoverlord he’s actually not ruining the fun for everyone. It’s been rather entertaining watching the Twitter bonfire as an outsider. Elon Musk’s money is burning up like smoke.

    2. @Sky Cloud I don’t have Twitter but if just dishonest to say he ruining it. He just applying the rules evenly now

    3. @LowStuff You’re wrongly generalizing and dismissing his contributions. I really don’t like what he’s doing lately, but to be fair, he deserves credit. All the companies he bought (and some he started) were pretty crap at the beginning and worked crazy hard and he made them amazing, literally world changing and humanity for the better. We abandoned decades in tech because of him alone. It was all pretty good until Twitter.
I don’t get why it’s so popular anyway. I only have an account there for entering contests. Haha

    1. Doxing is a serous issue just look at what Trump has done which has caused people to be stocked. I for one mask my identity as an employer once tried to use a comment I made grounds for dismissal. I criticized a political figure which he was doing business with and when this political figure found out were i worked he tried to have me sacked. further recently Journalists gave out a YouTubers address who reported on political criminals and his house was Firebombed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZI3zaHUsgXg
Journalists have a responsibility in there reporting to not cause people to fear for their safety. “Truth”, “accuracy”, and “objectivity” are cornerstones of journalism ethics the reporter need to reflect on weather there action could have caused people to fear for their or their families safety.

    1. @Kelvin Zandana I’m working. Not trying to sleep. It would literally be impossible for anyone to “keep me awake at night”. Are you and Elon boyfriends because your tongue sure is licking his tight pink money hole?

    1. You have a problem with him banning people who endanger children? No wonder you voted for a corrupt segregationist whose own daughter accused of show erring with her.

  5. He’s the weird kid that while playing with other children suddenly grabbing up all the toys screams these are all mine! 😂

    1. Yep. Had a cousin just like him, with autism. He was very smart, went to Oxford, but gee, he was a weird moody, arrogant kid.

  6. At some point we should probably stop using Twitter and stop talking about it. Of course, I’m talking from the POV of journalists.

  7. So inspiring to see the “free speech absolutist” exercising his absolute power over said notion of free speech 🤣 Clearly introspection is not one of the Chief Twit’s forte.

  8. “Congress shall make no law … abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press…”
Journalists have special protection under the first amendment, Mr Musk.

  9. I had so much hope for Elon. I really thought he was smart enough to avoid politics and focused enough to take us to Mars. I hope he gets his head straight again.
