@Charlie Short Thanks for the update Charlie. I guess the good news is regular influenza deaths which usually range between 60,000 to possibly 80,000 a year is down significantly. I wonder why that is ? you don’t think they’re fudging the numbers do you? Hardly anyone is dying from influenza nowadays. Figures don’t lie but liars figure.

@Deb Hammersley it is for 2 friends of mine. This Virus is devastating. I am thankful for the Governors at this point who actually care about science. Most of us have serious financial issues from this but $ can always be earned. Unfortunately bad decisions cannot bring my friends or the other thousands back from the dead. Stay safe!

Andrew That’s not what he said. He didn’t originally say it was going to be left to governors. He said he had “absolute authority,” which is false by the way. It was only in his last press conference that he suddenly changed his mind after his rant last time. Can we have a President who can’t make up his mind and deliver a clear, consistent message during one of the worst crises in American history? The answer is no.
So yeah, he’s risking American lives. He did it with his partial mediocre China ban, with his downplaying of the virus, with his absence of available testing, etc.
Oh and by the way, the $2 trillion of relief money literally came out of thin air, and you still think we need tax revenue to pay for it all.

All US military commands from NORAD on down have their orders to launch. Trumpsky starts acting erratic after finds out that one of our intelligence groups “has made a mistake in it`s advice to high command.“ Trumpsky realizes he has “made a mistake.“
Trumpsky`s error in judgment will cost countless millions of lives so that even the Virus seems like a “walk in the park.“

@g t I am a nurse at a public health facility…..patients are waiting for beds…..this is a nightmare. Never in my 40 plus years as an RN would I have thought patients would wait in the ER for an ICU bed seriously then we have to barter with the government to save lives.

If the popular vote system was used over the collegial system, the the US would not be in this position. If a President could run for more than two Terms then the US would not be in this position. The last time we had this kind of figure we were placed into the Great Depression of the USA from 1929 (Herbert Hoover, Republican) until approximately 1941 oh when the “Day that will live in infamy occurred (FDR HST dealt with situations.)
America had Hoover to thank largely for the Depression.
