Vlad the inhaler, I certainly hope not and what are you talking about jurisdictions, the RCMP is Canada wide, not sure what you are referring to there, but the RCMP play a vital role in law enforcement and should never be phased out.
@timandsue legere …they are being “phased out” in some areas or jurisdictions in Canada in favor of “private police forces”…there was a day when the R.C.M.P were a valuable resource and trusted..those days are gone and they can only blame themselves for their misdeeds.
@Vlad the Inhaler we have always had private police forces the RCMP handles specialized cases and assistance to local forces when requested you could think of them as equivalent to the FBI in the states

The RCMP are going to be held accountable by the public, but not by the government or themselves. The new Commissioner did an outstanding job of not answering two excellent questions.

Lets not forget that Gabriel Woortman, NOT RCMP, is the sole person to blame for this tragic event. ALL emergency personnel did their best to respond to a murderous rampage that was premeditated and designed to avoid detection.
