Does anybody really think prayer will help? Your imaginary God has nothing to do with the hurricane. There is no God listening to your prayers (or able to stop disasters). Or perhaps God sent this hurricane to punish Donald Trump and destroy Mar-a-Lago?

Is this the Jesus that gave his life for our eternal salvation from the curse of sin or the Jesus that sits on Immaculate Mary’s lap in infancy and spends eternity being crucified with each celebrated Catholic Mass? When these hurricanes slow down they’re like buzz saws. I was in the Caribbean and was hit directly by Hurricane Maria in 2017 and she was moving only 6 mph as a Cat5. The next morning there wasn’t a leaf left on any tree on the entire island I was on. Hopefully this does not happen in Florida.

Actually here in FL we dont have reg trees with leaves. We get those non shady trees called palm trees. When your a visitor they look cool but when you live here its like I hate palm trees, I wish I had trees with leaves for shade. Of course tho, those trees would be down after a strong hurricane and palm trees usually just bend a lot but dont fall. Just all those palm frons that you have to clean up after its over lol

Well, at least make sure you are well stocked up on charged external batteries. So if nothing else you can still power your phone in an emergency should the electricity fail.

@William Coley Right because no person has experienced their car being flooded and dead in a hurricane. Or suddenly marooned on their roof by fast rising water, their car floating away to seek new pastures. Nope never has happened. And going out to your car in the middle of a cat. 4 hurricane and possible floods just so you can charge a phone in your car is of course smart. But you can munch on a candy while you do.
