    1. I bet if they put a tutu on the dog he’ll start dancing on his hind legs immediately. Or jam a cigar in his mouth then give him a deck of cards and he will pose with 4 other dogs for a velvet dogs playing poker picture.

    1. I had hunting dog, there is a Wiki on “Pointing dog” It’s amazing that CNN “Journalists” are not aware of it…. Thx JabberMocky, I wrote a similar comment before seing yours.

  1. Reminds me of my black Labrador. 15 years of happiness till the day he flew to the sky with his own angel. He was smart like this one. Be happy forever sweet dog with your family. And the cats ๐Ÿ˜บโค๏ธ

    1. @Karen Shaw Yes . I love all animals but I have a soft heart for dogs โค๏ธ. Take care ๐Ÿ€

  2. Too cute๐Ÿ’• I have a pointer/ pitt mix and she does this when she sees birds and frogs on our walks. It always makes my day!๐Ÿ˜†

    1. Iโ€™ve got a Labrabull that points. I was going to do her DNA to see if there was any pointer in her, but now I think itโ€™s part of her Lab coding.

  3. He’s a good boy and any one that knows Labs Knows they’ll do all they can for a person including pointing out the enemy !

  4. My Hailey Girl was a mut, she looked like a Chocolate lab but she was a Lab/German Shepheard/Boxer mix. When we hiked, she was the “Scout Dog”. She would run up to any bild bend or the crest of a hill and if it was clear she would run back. If there were other people or animals that we couldn’t see she would “Pretty Point”. She was a great girl who unfortunately passed away this past spring. Her sister (littermate) was sitting by the front door looking at it and waiting for her to come home last night, so thinking of these fond memories help.

    1. Sorry for your loss… We have had the joy of 2 previous lab/mix that have also gone on ahead and are presently rearing a 3rd. She is DEFFINATELY a joy and a curious mix of UNBELIEVABLY HILARIOUS and ARE YOU KIDDING ME.
ZU ZU PETALS is just as joyful as (PRINCESS TOOTSIE TOELICKER and BELLA MALITTZIA) were. Here’s praying you someday have another joyful Hailey Girl in your future.

    2. @Marian Lincoln much appreciated. I still have my Roxy Doodle Doo. She is Hailey’s littermate, and the two of them were inseparable even when I adopted them at 8 weeks old. I’m still incredibly blessed that She’s very healthy, gets the zoomies, and loves her walks. I hadn’t ever had a doggy birthday for them until their 14th Bday, I’m glad I did, and this November for Roxy’s 15th I’m definitely going to have a birthday party for her, invite her best human friends (she could care less for other dogs) and just spoil her rotten.

  5. What a wonderful animal, Congratulations. You can see it has a big heart. – Usually, a reflection of the owner.

  6. If youโ€™ve ever had a Lab they point all the time. Mine has frozen in point mode for several minutes. She wonโ€™t even move her eyes, keeps her breathing shallow and is completely rigid but ready to spring on command or if the prey moves.
Mine would have destroyed all those fake cats thinking they were toys.
Indoor cats sheโ€™s cool. Outside itโ€™s a different story sheโ€™s in canine mode.
    Gorgeous loving companions. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป

  7. The pointing explanation makes total sense, I’ve never seen a dog freeze like this due to fear or alarm. Amazing how even his tail is perfectly still, especially for a lab.
