    1. @Carl G Because he’s a journalist; and just as do competent lawyers, Sam will look at the facts and study the case history and then and only then make a logical inference.

    1. @Mon Ember PSA: History will remember you too. Weather you like it or not. So don’t f*ck it up by spouting BS online.

  1. Easy way to tell when someone is lying: when they keep changing their explanation on the documents, some of which contradicts itself. If they were declassified, why were they locked in a safe and why not hand them over with the other documents you gave back.

  2. A little bit of eloquence and straight-eyed perception from a journalist who can demonstrate how to be a journalist without reducing yourself to the gutter level of those who want to discredit you. Especially those who are using bar room profanities and juvenile antics at this crucial time in history.

  3. I miss journalists like Sam Donaldson, that didn’t just allow their interviewees to spout talking points and not answering his questions. We need more like him.

  4. One of the most respected journalists of all time. We’re very fortunate to still have his words of wisdom to call upon from time to time.

    1. @James Casady I don’t agree with CNN’s approach on every news topic of the day, however CNN is well positioned to report from wherever the news is happening. Their reporters and journalists on the scene do an incredible job. You don’t have to agree with the liberal commentators to appreciate how well they bring us the real life stories and events around the world. Richard Engle at NBC is an example too. These kinds of people seem fearless in their efforts to report from wherever events are happening in our troubled world.

  5. DJT makes Al Capone looks like a small time “dime-dealer”. The significance of DJT’s risk to society is simply cancerous
We need better journalists like Donaldson

  6. Sam Donaldson: a career journalist with decades of stalwart, articulate reporting, an unrelenting optimism in the just goodness of the American spirit, and an unimpeachable character. Thank you, sir. Though you have found your way to an enjoyable retirement and detachment from your demanding profession, your voice of reason still inspires us.

  7. The bottom line is, regardless of any excuses/ reasons/ theories put forward, HE HAD NO RIGHT to Remove any Papers/ Documents from the Administration.

    1. @Shakalaka really to have declassified document there are more areas in government involved not just Dear Leader. The planted documents can’t be declassified you don’t know which ones were planted good luck convincing anyone who has a working knowledge of the USA government period Goood Luuck.

  8. *This is what actually happened. This video is not for children, it’s shocking* ALLTIME.ML
    Mr. Robert – respect.

  9. So good to hear Sam Donaldson weigh in he is a font of historical information and his take on how this case against Trump resembles both Capone and Nixon.

  10. A lot of these so-called “journalists” should take notes on how to report the news truthfully from legendary journalists like Sam Donaldson. He knows how to do news.

  11. Sam Donaldson is a legend! Yeah, I’m a political nerd and I “grew up” watching Mr. Donaldson. He got me interested in politics and government. I just love these “old school” gentlemen and their approach to journalism! I hope to hear more from Mr. Donaldson in the future!
