So McConnell says they will hold a trial, BUT, this clause seems to say that he can stall it as long as he wants. I don’t believe he is being up and up. I think he’s going to use that clause.

I disagree on, delay part. I could be wrong, but I think Mitch wants House to impeach quickly, before they have even more evidence through discovery. The Senate can take it up and call for immediate vote (claiming they have all facts they need w/o calling witnesses) and get an acquittal a full year before election. House Dems need to cool their jets and not vote on impeachment until THEY have gathered new docs/recordings even Repubs can’t dismiss. Repubs know that if the pres ever testifies under oath he will commit perjury on something; they don’t want that to happen.

Adrian Solomon Most people don’t know that Elton John wasn’t impeached but they are pretty sure trump will be. When he is it will be a toss up as to his talking points.
