The incredible ignorance, ego, greed and his remarks to run for president some day attracted Putin to help him win to destroy the USA.
Trump is compromised, at the least. People who didn’t live during the Cold War (those who paid attention) and the collapse of USSR don’t realize how much is at stake nor how much Putin hates and is resentful of America and the West. Trump doesn’t get, or care, that Putin was a KGB officer who is slick and far more superior in intellect than he and his ability of playing mind games.
Putin knows to flatter Trump, lie and feed him disinformation, propaganda and play up the conspiracy theories Trump believes to get Trump attention and loyalty. Never considering that Putin is only loyal to himself, like Trump.
Trump has no business having Putin as a phone buddy with only a translator and I don’t know why those who understands the danger doesn’t step in to stop the nonsense. (And that’s putting it lightly.)
I suspect I’m preaching to the choir but others who have yet to know or grasp how dangerous this game Trump is playing, while being played, will be alerted.

I’m three score and several years so I’m not far behind you and I clearly remember those times.
When the USSR existed the government didn’t have the money to keep up with the USA or Europe regarding intelligence and technology other than their space program, and so JFK decided that the USA needed to step up, which you know we did.
Since their collapse, Russia has the technology and created millions and billions of funding. Mostly, at the beginning, through money laundering and still to this day.
This affords them everything needed to undermine, and mess with, USA elections and other countries are trying to, also.
It isn’t only Russia, although Putin has greatly personalized it so and has a personal vested interest to destroy USA and the West, other countries like North Korea.
For Trump to embrace Putin, Erdogn, Kim Young Un and their ilk is truly insane. Especially so since he’s been alienating USA allies and this is extremely dangerous to our national security.
(Again, for the benefit of alerting people.)
To add: I’m a born and raised USA citizen but lived in Spain a few years before and after the dictator, Franco, ruled. Needless to say, the situation with Trump makes me very uneasy after actually living and witnessing the reality of a government ruled by a dictator. I see the signs and sometimes I get so upset I have to walk away, breath and pray.
Too many are clueless, about one third it seems. Aye, well, populist thrive off of being adored and other than people like you and me to hopefully open their eyes, we must vote.
