“Months into a global virus outbreak-turned-pandemic, Mexico’s total count of confirmed cases of the new coronavirus to date sits at a meager 12. But one doctor isn’t so sure that’s accurate.
Francisco Moreno Sánchez, the head of internal medicine at ABC Hospital in Mexico City, told local media Wednesday that he’s worried about the lack of diagnostic testing in the country and fears there are “many more cases” circulating “undetected.”
He said if true, the spread of the disease will have a “brutal” impact on Mexico.”

I wish numerous people would send postcards to voters in Elissa Slotkin’s Michigan US House district with the phrase ‘The do nothing turtle’ on them. Folks in Slotkin’s district, which includes Livingston County and northern Oakland County, feel Elissa is the one ‘doing nothing’, as in not passing legislation to help them. The truth is Elissa has helped to pass over 400 bills that Moscow Mitch is sitting on in the Senate.

I lived in Taiwan and South Korea, having government hospitals is incredible. I had root canals done for $2 copay… I mean sure my taxes paid for it too, but man was it amazing. Best dentist I’d ever been to right in a hospital with every other MD known to man. I also needed anti depressants and I got them on the other end of the hospital in Taiwan

@Jim Battersbee can’t argue fact and you are spot on. But as a little historical perspective, those attitudes came from OUR original ancestors … the British. To this day they still pride themselves on colonization (Eddie Izzard does a great sketch about it). I honestly feel that America has been trying to find its way out of that, which is what has created the divides you quite eloquently described.
At least our Founders put in place rules that were intended to protect our civil liberties while we figured it out. Rules that this current administration are treading on.

@Jim Battersbee We were on the right track until the Republicans bought the entire Congress, went alt-right rogue and started stonewalling the previous administration. Frankly, with what Obama was up against in his own chambers I’m amazed anything got passed. No wonder he had so many executive order attempts.
Anyway, Americans figured that out and voted in 2018 to try and change that choke hold. Step 1. Then they learned that the House can’t do it alone. Next comes step 2.
No one American is ever going to pick that ball up and say “enough!” We’d need a superhero for that. Unfortunately superheroes are in short supply. Until one shows up, it is up to We The People en mass to make that happen. We learned how the process works in 2018. Step 2 already started & concludes on November 3rd at the ballot box. 🙂
