My buddy from New York got robbed at his small store by gun point. The criminal got caught and sent to jail. 2 days later he was robbed again by gun point by the same guy.
@TheZSquaredMusic Selective enforcement is the purpose of most of the criminal code. There should be a Constitutional Amendment that says no person under the jurisdiction of the US shall be subject to regulation totaling more than 5000 words.

Epic failure of the judicial system. I worked with the homeless for 20 years. I had a guy commit armed assault and robbery in my waiting room. The next day he was back. If you have money or access to money the Jail will hold you until you pay them what they want. If your homeless the jail will not keep you. Thats our judicial system in the US.

As a law abiding citizen who owns guns, I refuse to concede my God given rights to make these idiots feel safer. These politicians are power hungry and are willing to do anything to get more.

@Bill Billerton I really don’t know what to say about what happened. I’ve never seen anything like this. The response, blocking people that wanted to help. Just makes no sense.
If just one teacher had a north american arms revolver. This may not have ended this way. The teacher was disarmed.
I understand the emotional reaction to pass laws that make you feel like something was accomplished. Politicians know this too, and they are using the emotion for votes.
Probably the real solution is to harden schools, develop police tactics for active shooters, and perhaps raise eligibility age to 21 to purchase magazines in certain calibers over 10 rounds, that are used in shootings more frequently. I also understand the fight surrounding the issue of what you can do at age 18 and 21.
A national buyback on all assault rifles. Period.
