KY Gov. Beshear: Thanksgiving ‘Threatens To Be The Largest Superspreader’ Event | Andrea Mitchell

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear joins Andrea Mitchell to discuss COVID surges in his state and across the country as Thanksgiving approaches, and the importance of a COVID relief package in responding to the pandemic, saying that "If we don't get another CARES Act funding before the end of the year, everything we do to fight this virus falls off a cliff on December 31st. No money for testing, no money for contact tracing, no money to distribute the vaccine."

  1. All well and good the don’t you think it’s a little late? Honestly Donald Trump has been brainwashing everybody that this is just a ho ax for months. I’m sorry but too little too late

    1. @ace baker you’re talking about huge portion of your population that pretty much have become a cult to Donald Trump. Unless 100% of the population the follow the guidelines. I’m afraid there is no hope this is just a very beginning of what’s to come and Donald Trump has made it perfectly clear that he has no intentions of doing anything to assist in controlling the virus and it’s spread. Sorry it really is hopeless

  2. I don’t understand the objection to mask wearing. Nobody is crying about their liberty when the government mandates wearing seatbelts. Protect yourself, send cards and FaceTime with your family this year so that you can insure seeing them next year.

  3. Lets give “thanks” this Thanksgiving that the American Public Electorate has unanimously decided that CadetBonespurs Donald tRumps time of besmirching & desecrating our White House is finally over come January 20th 2021, 12:00 noon! Thank goodness & thank God!

  4. I like KY’s governor.
It’s too bad we’re all stuck with Moscow Mitch. Maybe the Governor can un stick him. Give him a little nudge, so to speak. Or, maybe an exorcism.

    1. @efs 1066 I watched the debate between McGrath and Moscow Mitch. The part where he started laughing when she was giving him statistics on deaths was mind bending. I wasn’t completely kidding about the exorcism!

All we can do is keep trying. Just think, when I was born there was still segregation. America has changed a lot. That means it can keep changing. It’s like pushing a boulder up a muddy slope, but it can be done.

  5. The GOP is only concerned when red start is under fire from covid, else Mitch will tell Blue state to go bankrupt themselves he does not care one bit, he will prefer it if all blue state are wiped out so he can win elections all the time, these people are worse than animals

    1. @Diana Spicer Was it by avoiding being smeared as a police defunding secret socialist AOC puppet because that’s how too many Democrats lost this year?

    2. @Diana Spicer Something fishy there. Why a Democrat Governor then a nasty Republican obstructionist like McConnell? They were on the same ballot, right?

    3. As a Kentuckian, I can tell you the Beshear election and McConnell election were very different. Beshear was going against Matt Bevin; which is the equivalent of Trump v. Biden. (Moderate republican’s didn’t really want Beshear, but even they knew Bevin was horrible) also everyone knew who Beshear was because he was the State AG and his dad was governor before Bevin.

As far as McConnell goes, I honestly feel like once Charles Booker lost the democratic primary everyone lost energy because to be for real no one really bought into McConnell’s opponent being anything more than a republican wearing blue.

  6. IF TRUMP CONTINUE FOR ANOTHER FOUR YEARS, MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WILL DIE. IT’S GOOD THAT HE’S ABOUT TO GO BUT 60 DAYS IS STILL FAR.

  7. And Donald Trump is in hiding instead of being the leader he’s the coward of the virus and 70 million people voted for him for a coward not to leave the country on the virus

  8. *TRUMP: THE BEST IS YET TO COME* !

*MAIL IN BALLOTS: SIR, YOU TOLD THE TRUTH. JANUARY 20TH, 2021, PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN* !
