  1. I think he had a hand in all four goals as it was he who took the corner that gave Villa the third goal in the form of a penalty. Bailey has been delivering what should have been many more assists but the likes of Coutino and Watkins have not been scoring his creations. I also sensed that he has only now being given the ball by some of his teammates. Also while his running is back since his injuries his shooting beyond 15 yards has not yet returned nor has his drive to get behind toward the goal with the ball at his feet. All of which we have seen him constantly display in the Bundesliga. This to me is thought-provoking as it means that there are forms to recapture plus new skills to master for him. One that he has mastered since coming to Villa and the Premier League is a closer dribbling skill while leaning, inundated with much more “platting”. I also want to see more 25-30 yards drive to the top and bottom corners on target. Love him. . .The performance for Jamaica will come but note well his presence is inspiring the player both at club and country. So that’s another factor and a responsibility that I think he is becoming aware of, his impact and leadership responsibilities. . .I just want to say this. I watched how his arrival at Aston Villa lit up the whole town and caused the whole EPL to become apprehensive. Nothing new. He did that in Germany and Belgium. But since his injuries, he has been undercut by almost all and sundry at the club, inclusive of the coach Gerrard and the fan base. All are coming around to believing again. I have never wavered. Chippie to the world.

    1. He just needs to be consistent and injury free. The likes of Watins and Coutinho has been selfish towards Bailey when attacking. Many times they couldve pass the ball to Bailey but chosen other options. I hope that this excellent performance by him will earn him more respect from the players and also I need him to lead this crop of Villa players.

    2. @The Advocate review Ent As my post implied, he is not yet fully over those major injuries as yet. So consistency could not yet be brought to the table as yet. We saw his devastation in the pre-season but knowing well he was coming off injury and needed an extended run to work in and fine tune but the manager was applying him haphazardly. In reaction to that his agent started to look elsewhere for playing time . That is where the articles about his association with Ajax began to surface

    3. I have seen him play for years now, he is one of the most dangerous player on any left wing or right now, I won trophy as a Liverpool supporter now im hoping to win trophies with Aston villa with Leon Bailey killer baller,

  2. Let’s not be ridiculous now cuz we already know the answer, how can any of us expect the same Bailey for Jamaica when he isn’t playing with the same amount of quality players around him? Not even a good midfielder to dominate & link up play

    1. Are you saying that the likes of Ravel Morrison and Daniel Johnson does not have the quality? I personally don’t think that Buendia, Kamala, McGinn and Luiz are as good as Morrison, neither mobile, visionary nor creative, on or off the ball. The team will gel in due time, especially under the eyes of the new coach and the remote impact of Craig Butler. On the other hand I hope that the JFF technical committee could include past players who are now coaches and scouts overseas to complement its cohort and being led by both a Technical Director and the current coaches.

  3. It’s all about team and style of play lol. Leon Bailey can’t help those who don’t help themselves and the whole Jamaican team and players are Trash

  5. Give u the answer no chemistry no team play and everyone on the team know there duty in the position that they given

    1. Amen. And this take time to build. Leon spoke about this early in the Whitmore era and the then JFF was flustered and wanted to the same to him that they recently did to captain Andre Blake, to sideline him. Cut him out and drop him.
