Louie Anderson dead: Emmy-winning ‘Baskets’ comedian dies at 68 | USA TODAY

Louie Anderson died at a hospital in Las Vegas of complications from cancer, said Glenn Schwartz, his longtime publicist.

The St. Paul, Minnesota native won a 2016 Emmy for best supporting actor for his unlikely role in the comedy "Baskets" as Christine Baskets, mom to twin sons played by Zach Galifianakis. Anderson received three consecutive Emmy nods for his performance.

  1. I loved Louie. Crazy funny. Many forgot he even had a cartoon based off his life. Great guy. His comedic genius will be missed.

  2. Jesus died on the cross to pay for us all to enter heaven. We must believe this and turn from sins putting out trust in Him to save us. Then we can enter HEAVEN.
