  1. and yet it is mandatory but you have the option and right to refuse…in which case they let you be on your way after issuing a fine.

    1. @dames bli Thanks. I guess $750 will be added to the travel budget. It’s still less than the $2000+ quarantine hotels stays. ๐Ÿ˜„

    2. @dames bli Is it not 750,000? According to the Quarantine Act “Maximum penalties for breaking self-isolation orders include a fine of up to $750,000 and/or imprisonment for six months”

    1. it sounds like if you are rich and sick, just pay $700 and skip the line so you can go to your favorite nightclub to spread the virus. Such a great deal

    1. babbe89 It seems Canadian RCMP use them in order to collect DNA from convicted criminals, its unlawful otherwise, they have to be convicted.

  2. Wth is going on! A lady was detained in Calgary, with paperwork from USA, indicating a negative test, and was not given a rapid test.

  3. Whatโ€™s is the point to test at the airport on arrival, when passengers need to already test before boarding the flight??? I think we need to see those successful countries on what are they doing & how they are controlling? Not doing everything & wasting the budgets? Budget need to be spent efficiently for the effective control of the pandemic as we donโ€™t how long this going to be for….

  4. if you dont stand up and fight, your silence will be viewed as submission by those in power and they will keep taking more of your rights and freedoms.. you will never get them back if you do not fight for them.

  5. in New Zealand when you come into there country, it is a 2 week mandatory stay, and is 2 grand a person, l don’t understand for 3 days costing 2 thousand.. should really only be around 500. Honestly if l have to stay in one of there hotels for that price, l better be in a 5 star and all booze and food included.
