    1. @Gogo you see it clearly say that it’s something that can easily go away it’s doesn’t poses a threat and don’t need no treatment nor Cure

    2. I wonder who is going to own all of this after the repossessions, foreclosures, and liquidation of assets.

    3. @Jesus patino It was well know as of the last week of January. Seriously. This is negligent homicide masquerading as ‘big party = big bucks’.

    4. @Shorty Resse personally haven’t been tested yet. They should. Maybe we don’t have enough supplies yet. Patients take 3 days to find out.

  1. Oh darn I missed Marti Graw this year. I sure will not miss Easter Sunday I hear it will be BYOB. Bring Your Own Bodybag.

  2. That spring breaker kid in Florida yelling about how she was from Lousiana making the best of it pops into mind

    1. @URFTBOUND4LIFE You’re right, but they act like ignorant children, so I call them kids. My bad.

    2. Also the information contained in this report isn’t accurate.
Mardi Gras last parade was Fat Tuesday February 25 ,2020.
The first confirmed case was March 9, 2020.
This was over a month ago this virus hit our town.
Keep in mind there were no testing at the time and it hasn’t quite made wide spread in the country just yet.
By the time 100 confirmed cases was announced in the US parade season was already in full swing.
Many people from all over the world came down and the damage was already done.

      We simply did not know.
Those Spring Breakers however were willfully ignorant and wanted to party.
Bourbon Street is shut down as all the bars and non essential businesses.
My cousin is doing volunteer work in Baton Rouge and cannot come back until this crisis dies down.
So that chick from Spring Break probably can’t come back till April 15…

    3. @URFTBOUND4LIFE I said she popped into mind my friend, as an example of people not taking this seriously. I’m not implying she herself caused what we’re now seeing there specifically.
Also I don’t know about this specific story, but their numbers are correct. Something happened to make the rate of infection higher than anywhere else in the world. Stay safe!

    4. @Tavernum yes of course but didn’t you get the part of at the time of the last Mardi gras parade, covid 19 wasn’t a pandemic and barely a blip in the USA.

    1. @DrummerJacob Yeah, because we all know that the majority of trump followers pick up on the nuance of the coverage of the coronavirus being the hoax and not the virus itself.
The republican senator sold all of his stock because of the Democrats “new hoax” and their “politicizing” of it. The media’s panic saved him a lot of money. The media’s panic saved some hospital healthcare systems from already being overwhelmed. Trump didn’t want americans on the cruise ship to get off the ship because it would increase our numbers or am I relaying information in a sick game of telephone.

    2. @DrummerJacob Republicans aren’t that smart. If Trump says it’s a hoax they’ll run off to their coronavirus gatherings.

    3. DrummerJacob and still America suffers. The government let the whole country down and let this get completely out of control.

    4. @5150gino 2000 Americans died today and they were trying to push the narrative that it was no worse then the flu when they all knew better, they should not have let him say those things.

    5. @Ralph Boyd Joe Biden wouldn’t have closed the country for 2 months later he said, killing about 2 million Americans. Trump closed it way before you think when AOC and Pelosi were trying to impeach him for the 4th time. You should fact check your info.

    1. @mac423 not only the media, but that blithering dementia case Joe Biden called trump xenophobic. Anyone obstruction wall construction now should be given a 10 year prison sentence for crimes against humanity.

    1. Apparently flashing your crotch is a bigger offense than being in a huge crowd and spreading coronavirus.

  3. Ahh…remember the good ol’ days when the worse thing you could get at Mardi Gras was a case of the clap and a raging hangover?

    1. There was testing no where in the US, especially not in Louisiana where there were no cases, no large Chinese community, and no travel hub to Asia. Testing in Louisiana at that point seemed stupid.

    2. @Shimmeringwind And that was already 32 days since China lockdown a 11 million ppl city and whole China STAY AT HOME

    1. Such idiots. What about other people that might get sick because of you. Those are the idiots natural selection should take out.

  4. They remember how the government “helped” them during katrina . So they probably know their on their own anyway 😂😂😂

    1. @Matt C I agree. I saw it. And people in the state went around him. It was a horrible situation. Governor and Mayor were to blame. Not the people there

    2. @Ecila2u yes. And so did Governor Blanco. Hence the beginning of the Cajun Navy. People from neighboring cities went to NOLA to save people there.

    3. @Steve Anderson it was a group of people unable to save themselves. And the city of NOLA gave them refuge in places that became unsafe and made them beleive those places were safe

  5. I’ve come to the conclusion is that young Americans don’t give a ****. I’m 19 but I ain’t this stupid.

    1. I am 57 years old. We do a lot of stupid things to. Example trillion dollars deficits and crappy healthcare. If this happens in the 70s would probably play out the same.

    2. Grace Delgado: I am 82 and live because of having an attitude like yours. Stay cautious, safe and live long.

  6. What do you mean “now know?” They’ve been saying that for months. Classic case of not caring until it happens to them.
Prevention is better than cure. It’s easier to stop something bad from happening than it is to deal with it after it has happened

    1. Basic pragmatic military perspective:
Preventative maintenance is the key to preventing Corrective maintenance.
And while ‘expensive’, it is as NOTHING in comparison to the ‘cost’ amount and loss that corrective maintenance incur.
The ‘cost’ for the LACK of preventive measures being implemented EARLIER by decisive action WILL BE PAID IN HUMAN LIVES.
The families of all of OUR military personnel, live amongst the infected
      ‘Commoners’.
‘We the People ‘ are the government.
‘We the People’ are the military
‘We the People’ are the masses
‘We the People ‘ are our greatest strength, BUT we are only strong if we UNITE together.
That’s what the United States DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE and CONSTITUTION, in ESSENCE, was supposed to mean.
IT WASN’T PERFECT, THATS FOR SURE. They forgot about slavery, women’s rights and other such issues, BUT THEY WERE ABLE TO AT LEAST GET A DECENT ROUGH DRAFT. And the essential ideas behind these documents are
      STILL RELEVANT TODAY.
      AS THEY ALWAYS WILL BE.
      To the POWERS THAT BE,
AMERICA AND ITS PEOPLE REPRESENT THE SINGLE GREATEST THREAT TO A WORLD ORDER.
Because we BELIEVE that we are FREE.
UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL.
SEIZE THE CURRENCY PRINTING PRESSES. REPEAL THE FEDERAL RESERVE ACT. Thomas Jefferson emphatically stated that a country HAD to print it’s own currency to ensure sovereignty, with strong support by Benjamin Franklin and many others.
RESET TO GOLD AND SILVER BACKED CURRENCY, PRINT YOUR OWN CURRENCY AND VALUE IT AND NEVER ALLOW AN OUTSIDE INTEREST TO CONTROL IT AGAIN.
‘WE THE PEOPLE’ will determine our FATE.
S@#$! ….The Winds of War are whispering, and getting louder…

  7. So we shouldn’t have had million people from all over the world meet on a street on the brink of a pandemic?

  8. Mardi Gras should have been cancelled. All these lock down should have been months ago they knew this was coming. Scary World

  9. Health officials were saying to cancel Mari Gras but were laughed at and told that would cost NOLA millions of dollars in tax revenue.

  10. This just goes to show how naive Americans are. We saw exactly what was coming and did NOTHING to stop it.

  11. They felt it was best to party bec they can handle a little “flu”. Very unfortunate for the inocent who were NOT partying! Having to suffer concequences bec of irresponsible people😟😞

    1. Everyones going to get it one way or another, some just have more mild symptoms and probably arent even going to the dr even if they did these people out here playing God and letting many drop on purpose. This is depopulation control we are not safe anywhere.

    2. Nonsense. This is a smear attack because they postponed the primary… mardi gras is in feb.. The only reported cases at that point were the cruise ship, I’m pretty sure….. Zero means no testing…. LA had them. Texas had them…

    3. As a resident of new Orleans, none of us knew the virus was even here at that point, we were being told BY OUR GOVERNMENT that the virus was still isolated to Wuhan. Mardi gras day wasn’t until February 25th. 98% of the parades and celebrations began rolling January 17th.

    4. Mac Adele January 20th was the first reported case in the US. January 30th The World Health Organization declared it a “Global Health Emergency”. February 2nd was the first death in Europe. Cases were increasing in the US as predicted by all health and infectious disease organizations. The media was asking why isn’t the US doing testing? Iran, Korea and Europe was starting to have cases rise exponentially and people were dying. It was by mid February all over the news. And come February 25th nobody knew in New Orleans? By mid February the rest of the world did and we were shaking our heads at what the US was failing to do because everyone knew it was there and was going to be bad. And it was and it is. And both your politicians and yourselves as individuals deserve whatever happens because sticking you head in the sand or plugging your ears and loudly saying la la la la repeatedly doesn’t then give you the right to say you didn’t know.
