  4. This is not about political party this is about human decency. Trump has none of that you sad sorry people who are taking this as a chance to further divide us.

  5. It amazes me that Congress pays respects to the fallen officer defending the White House that our President instigated and Republicians won’t hold him accountable. Sad state of the Republicians Party.

  6. God Bless DC Metro Police Officer Brian Sicknick’s family and friends who are going through the loss of a loved one. It is truly sad that this had to happen. Again… Donald Trump is to blame for the capitol insurrurection that resulted in this man passing away.

  7. Officer Sicknick and those officers by his side who fought off an insurrection are the true heroes of our democracy. Because of his sacrifice and the sacrifice of so many who fought off an organized insurrection, the nation owes a debt of gratitude that it can never repay. It is because of the courage and strength of all those who did their job on Jan 6 that the nation defeated an organized insurrection without taking any unnecessary life.

They did the most incredible job of police work ever performed in modern history and they saved our nation from civil war! They sequestered Congress and kept them safe while fighting off an organized insurrection of thousands and stopped a plot to take hostages and to burn down the Capitol building. The dozen or so Molotov cocktails they seized would have been more than enough to set fire to the building and cause death and destruction. If they had started fires then the police would have had to open fire and our enemies would have gotten it all on video to use as propaganda against us. The police were being baited into a gun fight. tRump may have only wanted to overturn an election but our enemies were hoping for so much more. Propaganda…but edited out of their video would be things like…the parts that showed the protesters were armed with staffs that were made of wood and metal that were disguised as flagpoles or the fact that many wore helmets and had on body armor. They even used commercial grade tear gas. But, their video wouldn’t show you how the insurrectionists were being backed up by an angry mob that was being herded by organizers who spurred them on with bull horns. Their video would show what appear to be innocent flag waving citizens being brutally shot down by Capital police.

I watched a crowd that was waving flags and chanting USA while they dragged an officer from the building and beat him with an American flag! It was the worst thing I have ever witnessed in my LIFE! I thought certain the shots would ring out and people would die but it never happened. It was only because of the professionalism, courage and sacrifice of the Capitol Police that this didn’t happen.

More people died and were injured in traffic accidents in the country on Jan 6 than in an insurrection on the Capitol! Yes they did lose control of the bldg through no fault of their own but after 5 hours of continuous fighting were able to regain control while arresting over 50 insurrectionists and seizing a dozen Molotov cocktails and several pipe bombs. And when you consider that the insurrection was done with the help of some in Congress and police and even some of the police, it only points to the fact that they were able to do an incredibly difficult job and they did it with incredible courage. Some would say it was an impossible situation. If something like this had happened anywhere else in the world, the police would have opened fire on the mob! That would have cost our nation dearly in the end. We would have betrayed every ideal we stand for and we would have done it in for the world to see.

Because of our Capitol Police, the Government was spared and many lives and the bldg saved. There were traitors among their ranks but there were many more heroes on Jan 6 who faced an insurrection and were able to fight off an angry mob without using guns. No hero sacrificed more on that day than Officer Brian Sicknick. When the smoke finally clears, the world will see that democracy never shined brighter or looked better. We owe far more than can ever be stated to our Capitol Police and many of us will never ever forget the heroes who fought off the January insurrection! God Bless Off Sicknick and his family for their sacrifice!

  8. Thank you officer Sicknick , our country is saved on the hands of brave men like you. This horrible tragedy should have never happened. R.I.P
