They just showed the CNN team covering the action bring arrested by the State Police. Seriously just now, filmed live. Respect to the Crew of brave journalists.

So, Mr. Mayor, what do you have to say about that? Mr. Jimenez and his crew better be all right.

    • NBC had a white reporter in front of officers that did not get arrested. Racism has to be called out as we see it.

Shawn Wales : They have all since been released, and are all okay. It looks especially bad that the black reporter and his crew were arrested, while the white reporter in the same area, also from CNN, was simply asked to move and then left alone. I watched that broadcast with my jaw hanging open, wondering how in the WORLD the state police involved thought that would be good optics at all, even if they felt justified to make such a ridiculous arrest.

This could have been avoided by charging the officers immediately.
Al of this could have been avoided completely by not executing a man in the first place.

  12. Since when is it a police policy to kneel on a handcuffed persons neck as they lay face down on the ground? If there is such a policy it should be outlawed. What they did to George Floyd is murder.

Luau Lei Aloha Generally in PA all defendants involved in a crimnal episode where death occurs, the Commonwealth holds equally culpable as a matter of law. The language is very broad! We rob a bank I’m your get away driver. While I’m waiting in the car you shoot the bank guard or the teller suffers a fatal heart attack. I’ve just commited second degree murder. However this dose not negate factors of weight and credability of evidence which jury’s determine.

    • Only the military should ever consider “neck restraints”. Even then, no one should ever use a neck restraint. Military at war or at peace, and certainly not cops.

But, because “due process” was likely violated, if those cops appeal the charges they will likely win the appeal.

  14. “when the looting starts, the shooting starts” Trump & the official White House retweeted it. Are you serious? This America not Venezuela. The violence started when those cops were killing George Floyd.

    • Angela Siegfried | May 29, 2020 at 4:38 PM | Reply

@kawasakielrman And to be honest, I don’t know if I had a small business if I’d care if it burned to the ground at this point in time unless it was *extremely* successful but most run at very thin profit margins. Maybe if it’s looted and or burned to the ground they’ll at least get some insurance money back from it.
In fact I just saw a news article about a business owner in MN saying that very thing. Economists predict that up to 40% of all small businesses will close forever due to the pandemic. And even states that have re-opened they’re only running at 1/4 to one half capacity because the majority of Americans don’t feel safe to go out and even if they do they don’t have money to spend because they couldn’t work for the least 2 – 3 months.
