    1. BC usually does not get weather like that and Toronto I’m sure is more prepared for weather like that than BC. I have traveled over Christmas before without any problems at all

  1. I would expect that from Air Canada but not from West Jet. That’s just terrible. I as a single traveler can not imagine being stuck in a jet for 12 hours like that

Do you think the pilots and cabin crew enjoyed being stuck in a jet for 12 hours?

  2. There is this thing called ‘weather’, the airlines have no control over this so can’t be liable for compensation etc !

  3. 12 hrs. on a sitting position? That is so healthy, Shame on the airline and the YVR. I can understand cancellation due to weather, but 12 hrs in a plane sitting is I think unacceptable.

    1. @Westerly Winds But allowed to get out of their seats, for a break, I did flew on a 16 hrs flight, i got up 4 times to gave my butt a break, and on flight with the proper air circulation within the cabin.

    1. Yep, many sad stories every year, and nobody tries to solve this problem. Nobody tries to improve the system s

    1. Improved the system, and hire someone who could solve the problem. The main points they don’Steven think about how to solve this problem in the past 20 years

  5. There is much more airlines should have learned to do to mitigate the impact that snowstorms have on passengers’ comfort.
