    1. @Paula Lim so real Texans are cowards who abandon people when they need help the most? Yep, sounds about right.

    1. Hospitals do have backup generators for power but are not equipped for lack of water due to their governments irresponsible emergency preparedness.

  1. Apocoliptic Texas..this is when you have leaders say..fend for yourself..no empathy ..good going Cancun Cruz

  2. Maga cult: “Yeah, it’s all the fault of the windmills!”
Texas: “But renewable energy is only 15% of our power supply. Natural gas is 50% of the total.”
    Maga cult: “WINDMILLS!!! 😜 ”
    Texas: 🤦🤷

    1. @Crimdor “The Texas power grid has not been compromised. The ability of some companies that generate the power has been frozen. This includes the natural gas & coal generators.” – Gov Abbott Feb 15, 2021.

Sorry, you were trying to make a point? 😅😂🤣

  3. Welcome to a Republican run state (20years). He loves lower taxes, privatization and deregulation but only hates the result of those polices when it affects him. Vote Republican and get more of the same.

  4. Even Ayn Rand took both Social Security and Medicare. People like Rick Perry continue to promote the myth that society functions better when it’s everyone for themselves.

  5. That’s odd, because Cruz didn’t seem to have a problem getting to the airport for his trip to Mexico recently.

    1. psycobleach46 tullis – “it is NOT Biden’s job to talk to the officials there it is the governors and state legislators that need to look into it”
Replace Biden with Trump and that was trumps response to states dealing with COVID

    2. psycobleach46 tullis – same argument could be made about California wildfires, but trump still visited and met with officials

  6. Terrible situation. It’s almost as if Greg Abbott, Rick Perry, and George W. Bush have been running the state for the last 25 years!

  7. The condition of the USA is becoming frightening. From politics to social issues, to climate.. This country is in for a reckoning.

  8. Imagine if we covered the Puerto Rico aftermath by pointing out everything they did wrong rather than what we could to help.

    1. Crimdor actually republicans did point out everything wrong with PR before help was sent. I’m pretty sure help is there or on its way, and I guarantee power companies from other states are there helping
